Michael Sam being on a football team no doubt garners extra attention, "distractions", all of that. No one can disagree with that.
However, after it was well known that Tim Tebow wasn't an NFL-caliber QB, he got chances from reputable programs such as the Patriots despite the distractions he brought with him.
I think guy is a complete douche. I also think Kluwe's lawsuit is complete horse shit as well.
Moreover, the complete charade - apologize, sensitivity training, suspend for a few games - is more of a joke on our society than the act involved.

Tebow was a very inaccurate QB & should have been drafted as a tight end, where he may have had a shot to make a team or be on a teams's practice squad....
I understand you are just relaying what Dungy communicated. My response was just kind of wondering why Dungy (or anyone else that shares his viewpoint on this topic) didn't make similar statements when Tebow was trying to latch on with the Patriots. After Tewbow's stint w/ the Jets was complete it was widely known he wasn't a capable QB and that there was a whole side-circus attached to him for wherever he went next.
I know I am wasting my time with this but to me there is a bit of a distinction between what can be perceived as non PC bantor/jokes and this coach's actual comments. Tease a player or even a group of players about going sheep herding in the hills of Wyoming. That's one thing. Wishing a entire group to be perished in a nuke attack? Mean spirited and NOT the same. While I expect some to think the way they already do I think most of you should be able to tell the difference. Oh and to repeat it one more time, you would have never have heard that shit in Vince Lombardi's locker room.
