I usually understand these playoff picture things well, but I don't understand why the Ravens are currently seeded better than the Steelers. Head to head they push but Steelers have a better division record and a better conference record. What am I missing?

I think they're all wrong. Maybe they are using the strength of schedule that's left? Nah, I doubt that. They're just wrong.

Baltimore is ahead of Pittsburgh and Cleveland in the AFC North based on head to head record (Ravens' 2-1 to the Steelers' 2-2 and the Browns' 1-2). Kansas City is ahead of Baltimore and Buffalo based on conference record (Chiefs' 5-4 to the Bills' 4-5 and the Ravens' 3-5). Buffalo is ahead of Baltimore based on conference record (4-5 to the Ravens' 3-5).

Ahhhh, the 3-way tie rule.

Thanks, kinda been bugging me.

The 3-way tie rule because if the season was over we're talking Wild Card tie-breakers. The Bengals win the AFCN and all the other teams are involved, not only the division.

Got it. Thanks again. :0008
