It is not an hour:scared :scared .........I used to live halfway between Niagara Falls and Toronto....I assure you it is not a one hour drive from Niagara Falls to downtown Toronto..........

Traffic is horrific, it could take ya 3 hours depending on the time you leave...............but if you got real lucky (and I mean real lucky) you could reach downtown Toronto in 1.5 hours....but that would be under ideal driving conditions.

I myself used to live about a 20 minute drive from the airport....sometimes it took me 20 minutes....sometimes an hour and a half :scared

point being...............there is no way it's an hour :SIB

Those were days--

And you knew who you were then,
Girls were girls and men were men,
Mister we could use a man
Like Herbert Hoover again.

Didn't need no welfare state,
Everybody pulled his weight.
Gee our old LaSalle ran great.
Those were the days.

Blitz, Depends on what you want to do but you can also check out Great wolf Lodge. Expensive but your kids will love it.

For a slightly cheaper option, there is the Niagara indoor waterpark. It is connected to a bunch of hotels by the old casino, You can usually get a good rate on a package deal for both the waterpark and hotel.

Toronto is more than an hour for sure. I do the drive weekly to see clients in the falls and it takes me about an hour and a half to an hour fourty five minutes and that is knowing all the backroads and service roads in case of accidents. I would just stick around the falls you will have more than enough to do.

As Kick said there are two casinos. Newer one is the Fallsview and much nicer, easier comps, but hell for lineups and busy.

The old casino Niagara is less busy, but not as much glam. Depends what you want to do.

One thing I would suggest, other than the great ones above, is get a casino card. They comp you alot of things so it is easy thing to have even for a one time visit.

Enjoy your time and spend lots of those greenbacks here!! We love real money!1:mj07:

If you indeed do go, drive up to niagara on the lake and take the Niagara jet boat trip. Its a freaking blast and reasonably priced as well, but be warned that you will get soaked to the bone. Here is a link:

Also, top notch vineyards abound, free tours and tastings are a must. Fort Erie racetrack is also well worth the visit.

We visit frequently and its very pleasant on the Canadian side of the border.
