I'm with you Rex. When it comes to gambling, all I care about is how far I'm in the black for the current week. This forum is an excellent source of entertainment/information, but some people treat it like it's their only social circle. I really hope that's not the case.

But if I can't call a spade a spade in here, I'm not sure I want to be around. :shrug: I mean what will this turn into? As a suggestion, perhaps the bashing / personal attack policy could run in monthly segments with a banning order of diminishing returns.
For instance, if you were to bash someone on day one, you'd risk being banned for the remainder of the month.
But if you wanted to bash someone on the twenty fourth, you might think "Hey, the satisfaction of calling him (or her) a twit only gets me banned for a week and that's more than worth it to me!"

Yes, it should go without saying that something like that is over the top. ...I guess the problem is some people don't have the same widely accepted unspoken sense of boundaries that the majority has.

i haven't had time for this but will this afternoon.
we lost a few good friends because of the personal attacks, bashing and name calling. i've been reading nothing but that crap every morning when i get up. it does get old. it's depressing especially when you're losing money so the fighting and personal attacks get worse.
i really need your guys help with this. that's all i ask. get my back for a change
i'd like the newbies to feel welcome too instead of getting bashed. we were all newbies at one time and there's gold in there somewhere. maybe your future GF or wife or best friend. never know.

I have to agree, not like it means anything here. I'm astounded that some people take these postings seriously. Sometimes people will disagree and quote something I said in a post 3 years ago. I can barely keep the members straight here. I always looked at this stuff like giving your buddies shit. Maybe you guys didn't have friends like that, but in my group we'd harp on each other non-stop, and it kept it fun. I always looked at things here the same way, but I guess every group has that guy(s) who took things way too seriously.
