Jesus, you are obnoxious.

I don't believe in abortion.

I believe in the death penalty.

I am Catholic.

Do not kill. Isn't that a cornerstone of your religion?

I guess it would be obnoxious to have someone point out my own hypocrisy. Sorry for any uncomfortable feelings.

Nice post. Why don't you take your hatred elsewhere. Whether you like him or not, he doesn't deserve to be talked to like that.

Isn't it nice? I think these are the rightwing fundamentalist talked about a month earlier.

Never said you had to give him a pass. I just think he deserves to be free of personal attacks.

As for being Anti-American, you're way off. The guy goes overboard sometimes, but it is because he is passionate. I think most people get fed up with him because they don't have a real answer to the stuff he brings up. It is much easier to call him a terrorist than to debate him.

Interesting quote on the subject by a former Senator below....

"The citizen who criticizes his country is paying it an implied tribute."

-J William Fulbright

The sad part is that Weasel has some that lean left buying onto this anti American crap with Spy. Weasel, a guy who has been wrong about 99 percent of the shit he has talked about. Go figure.

What are you, Buddhist?

Eye for an eye........ Exodus 21:23?27

That is old testament for you atheistic bastards.

I'm a recovering Catholic.

So, are you telling me that the Good News is saying it is okay to kill his children and that the almighty contradicted himself in the Ten Commandments.

Here are some more contradictions from the good book: "For I am merciful, saith the Lord, and I will not keep anger forever." (Jeremiah 3:12)
"Ye have kindled a fire in mine anger, which shall burn forever." (Jeremiah 17:4)

"If I testify about myself, my testimony is not valid." (John 5:31)
"Jesus answered: Even if I testify on my own behalf, my testimony is valid." (John 8:14)

"And Jesus coming, spoke to them, saying: All power is given to me in heaven and in earth." (Matthew 28:18)
"the whole world is under control of the evil one." (1 John 5:19)

And Jesus said, "For judgement I am come into this world." (John 9:39)
"I came not to judge the world" (John 12:47)

"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." (Matthew 5:16)
"Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven." (Matthew 6:1)

"Jacob said, 'I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.'" (Genesis 32:30)
"No man hath seen God at any time." (John 1:18)

We should fear God (Matthew 10:28)
We should love God (Matthew 22:37)
There is no fear in love (1 John 4:18)

Wrong Wayno. The Catholics are either right to lifers or they're not. There is also something Jesus said about forgiveness that doesn't quite job jive with the death penalty. :(

If that was the case there wouldn't be any in law enforcement or miltary.

I am not an authority on Catholics--and a fence straddler on abortion--but certainly can equate diff of murderer and unborn child without any reservation.

be that what it may--it is issue that unfortunatly won't go away and will never have solution.
I can certainly do without all the press coverage on issue--thought the demonstrations outside were fine but was turned off by those trying to interupt inside. If you invite a person to speak--even a Rev Wright--you owe them the courtesy to say their piece--an automatic taser to the neck of all the showboaters on both sides of fence would solve prob.

As one who is still trying to sort out this Abortion stuff I get lost with the people who say they are against abortion except in the causes of rape or health of the mother. I understand the health of the mother part but I get lost as to why would they be in favor of abortion in the case of rape?

Were I a woman, I would not likely want to carry, deliver and raise the child of a monster who raped me. Were I her husband, I would likely feel the same way. Hell, I may even go Jack Ruby on the perp:shrug:

i hope abortion some day is illegal so i never have to hear about it ever again from the right. Like these neo-cons really care about this shit. They use it to strike a nerve with their sheep of a base. If u can't figure that out after these clowns acted like they cared about Terry Shiavo and that bogus bullshit, then im not sure u ever will. Somebody like Hucklebee might care but someone like Rush and Newt give me a freakin break. They had total power six out of the last eight years with the supreme court in their back pockets and did nothing about it. You can't tell me that they couldn't pull something. Then again if they did and succeeded they wouldn't be able to use this dividing garbage anymore.

No doubt, but that's just it. For the holy rollers a life is supposedly a life is a llife. It isn't that unborn babies fault that the lady was raped any more than it's the unborn babys fault that a teenage girl accidentally gets knocked up.

Moral equivalence doesn't look good on bible thumpers.

Exactly right Kosar. I agree Cie but on the same hand if a life is a life then how can they justify the killing of the unborn rapist fetus. It is no more guilty of the crime then the rapist born children would be.

No doubt that it's an argument a 'bible thumper' can't logically win.

I already said I was fence straddler on abortion once in this thread and feelings have not changed since years back on what I post on issue--but here it is again

Personally I am against abortion--but I don't have to carry it nor would I be subjected to the mental aspect of rape-incest etc.
So feel my opinion would be 2ndary to those packing the load--that is between them and their consience.
