New England has 25 cases of Don Perignon on ice for the Super Bowl

Isnt that somewhat presumptious of NE ?

yeh I am nervous just thinking about it.

please dont make it any worse.

but what if Brady couldnt play ? Or he got knocked out early with a low leg lift thingee.

who is New Englands backup anyway :SIB

I think the value of the play on NY Giants would rise dramatically.

I just want to get on the wave as it is going up
not when it comes crashing down.

or something like that anyway

I'm sure you know but for anyone who doesn't..

The Patriots' backup quarterbacks are Matt Cassel and Matt Gutierrez. Cassel has thrown 39 passes in his three NFL seasons, all with New England. Gutierrez, a rookie, completed the only pass he threw this season.

a move to backup QB for any reason shatters the N.E. Patroits season.Plain and simple.

Just like the move to a backup shattered SD in the Semi?

Cassel in pre-season...(yes, yes...back-up's we're all aware...)
10/14 99 v. NYG
3/6 43 @ Caro
6/12 56...2 INT @ Tenn (bad!)
4/7 32...

...completing 63%...better than 22 reg. season QB's.

Under for sure, but...oh, wtf are we talking about??!!!
Brady is playing. Plain and simple.

Having said that...I think I think NY are the play...but why 15.5 Scotty??
If they lose by exactly 15 then I'll get an avatar that says "Scott actually backed a dog, but not really" (Or something similar :142smilie )

...........................................................

The reason for the 15.5 is that I start the game leading by over 2 touchdowns.

so its 15.5 to 0

Lets say that the NY Giants win the coin toss, which some people will bet on

The NE Patriots kick off and the NY Giants excellant special teams runs the ball all the way back to the NE 45 yard line.

Eli Manning takes huddle downfield and the
NY Giants manage to score the first touchdown..

I am now leading 22.5 to 0

I am up three touchdowns in the first quarter :00 of the Super Bowl game. Its a very strong position to be in to start a game that I believe will be close anyways.

And if there is a safety that occurs I have that 2 points adds nicely into my 1.5 over the 14. Giving me 3.5

Catch my drift ?

Anything can happen in a football game, but this is why I took the 3 point buy from the +12.5 offered.

I am counting on winning this play to offset the bet on the Moneyline , which is the longshot, but big money on the backend.

If I win the first wager but lose the second wager, I am out 2 grand with the potential to win over
22 k.

And if I lose the entire 9,554 its house money I am playing with from last week wins plus NFL season.

It seems simple enough.

I know that I dont think like alot of gamblers.

Its why you call me special.

Yes I read that article.

The fact is I do not care if Brady plays or not.
And of course Brady will start the game.

But if the Giants have even a outside chance, with one of the top sack teams in the NFL, to get to Brady and twist him around a little. And Brady does go down and out.

This play wins. With a high probablity the MoneyLine play will win also.

It gives me hope.

And even if Brady plays the whole game, I still like my chances with the 15.5:00hour

hard to imagine Giants not scoring at least 20 on a nice tract and great weather..

Tack on the 15' and NE needs a 36..

They[NE] had to score 22 points in the 2nd half of the first matchup this year ..to get the W 38-35

The emergence of Eli as at least a fair field general and the confidence in the dink and dunk offense will allow the Giants to chew up considerable time off the clock..

Pats will do their share of dink and dunk as well. They will certainly mix in the draw play to amass a total of a mininum of 25 carries[have to keep Giants pass rush honest] and probably more if in the 4th they can ice away the win..Cover is the last thing on the minds of Pats with a PERFECT SEASON and World Chamionship at stake. The cover hype went out the window weeks ago.

Confusus says, the smaller the wave, the less you
get crushed, (especially if you are betting on the

Like I said, not arguing the side...

...point being...that 14.5 is equally as (more relevantly!) huge, but wins you more cash...

Rookie mistake though dude...

...there's no such thing as "house money".

If it's in your pocket/bank account/matress/biscuit tin...It's your money. ;)

fawk it, its worth the chance.

I honestly think that NY Giants have a good opportunity, to win this game.

No one expects them to win, Its not like last year when Grossmans mistakes exposed the team.

With Eli Manning we got a QB that has turned the corner. He is on his way to victory.

I am seeing guys post consensus pick of 4 to 1
for Giants -12.

Consensus smensus.

Its a crock of hooey to try to figure out who will win using that. To get a accurate read you have to know tens of thousands of outlets.

Its not worth worrying about.

But when people say that the Giants are the public play. I say hogwash.

The New England Patriots are the public play. The public looking at this game and making their one bet a year. They see the 16-0 record. The past Super Bowl wins, Tom Brady the magician , Randy Moss Touchdowns in 2007 and on and on. The public play is NE Patriots. And thats not to say that NE wont win and cover. Its still easily who the public see's winning this game.

Oh Eli Manning, isnt he the one that had 20 interceptions during the regular season ? hehehe

This line is not going up past 12.5 that I got down on. If anything by Thursday, I predict it will be going down.

Brady's ankle should be a concern. The guy is not practising and they havent played for awhile now.

If I am Giants defense coach, I am saying take the big man down low. Roll him over and under if you get the chance. Not that the Giants are going to play dirty or anything. I mean NE is known to be the dirty team in the Super Bowl.

Would not be good if Brady went down and out:0corn

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Tom Brady did his best Sunday to give concerns about his sprained right ankle the boot.

"It's feeling good," the New England Patriots quarterback said shortly after his arrival for Super Bowl XLII. "I'll be ready to go.

"This won't keep me out of this game. It will have to take a hell of a lot more than an ankle.":scared

Brady's right ankle was the subject of media speculation since he was photographed Monday wearing a walking boot away from team headquarters. Brady admitted he was injured when sacked early in the third quarter of last Sunday's AFC Championship victory over San Diego.
:scared
Brady said he didn't participate in two practices last week but he plans to return Wednesday in preparation for New England's Super Bowl match-up against the New York Giants.:scared

"I not concerned. I'm really not," said Brady, who was wearing regular dress shoes during Sunday's news conference. "I think it was a good week in terms of mental preparation and getting ready to play.:scared

"It's nice because I feel very energized down here to start this process. It's going to be a fast week. I'm not concerned how it will affect my play. I can't run anyway, so I'm not sure it's going to have much of an affect.":scared :scared

While not practicing, Brady said he hasn't been completely immobilized.

"I've done a little [dropping back]," he said. "I've jogged around and shuffled and thrown the ball a little bit. It wasn't as much as if I would have been practicing but enough to realize I'm going to be able to play on Sunday.":0corn

Brady was voted the NFL's Most Valuable Player after throwing a league-record 50 touchdown passes and leading New England to the first 16-0 regular-season record in league history. Brady, though, struggled against the Chargers. While completing 67 percent of his passes with two touchdowns, Brady threw a season-high three interceptions and posted his second-lowest quarterback rating (66.4).:scared

Two of Brady's three interceptions happened after suffering what is believed to be a high ankle sprain, but he completed 11 of 14 passes in the second half.

"It didn't affect my first interception," said Brady, referring to an errant first-quarter throw. "I wish I could blame the interception on that."

Patriots coach Bill Belichick refused to offer a Brady medical update, saying he will do so Wednesday when the Patriots are required to file their first pre-Super Bowl injury report.

"I'm looking forward to that, too," deadpanned Belichick, who is notoriously loathe to provide player medical reports.

Brady was brilliant in New England's 38-35 victory over New York in the regular-season finale. But Brady ? who completed 32 of 42 passes for 356 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions ? knows he will be hard pressed to equal such success in the upcoming rematch.

"We have to have a great week of practice because this team really challenges you to think," said Brady, referring to New York's wide array of blitzes. "They're good at all aspects of the game. Defensively, they put pressure on an offense, which we experienced just a few weeks ago. I think we need to have three great days of practice, which I hope to be participating in."

Cause

Ankle sprains occur when ligaments that connect the bones in the foot, ankle, and lower leg stretch or tear.

An inversion injury, the most common cause of ankle sprains, occurs when the ankle rolls outward and the foot turns inward. It results in stretching and tearing of the ligaments on the outside of the ankle. In a "high" ankle sprain, a less common type of inversion injury, the ligaments at the top and outside of the ankle are also torn, increasing the sprain's severity and healing time.

In an eversion injury, the ankle rolls inward and the foot turns outward, damaging the ligaments at the inside of the ankle.

Damage to the ligament varies from simply stretched or slightly torn to completely torn. Your doctor will grade your sprain accordingly.

Grade I is stretching or slight tearing of the ligament with mild tenderness, swelling, and stiffness. The ankle feels stable, and it is usually possible to walk with minimal pain.

Grade II is a larger but incomplete tear with moderate pain, swelling, and bruising. Although the ankle sometimes feels stable, the damaged areas are tender to the touch, and walking is painful.

Grade III is a complete tear of the affected ligament or ligaments with severe swelling and bruising. The ankle is unstable and may feel "wobbly." Walking is usually not possible because the ankle gives out and there is intense pain, although initial pain may quickly subside.

............................................................

I wonder if it was a Grade III:0corn
