OK so the Atlanta Braves pulled off a win last night and I was right there with them for the victory dance.

Today is a early start at 1 PM. Things will be differanct.

Smoltz pulled his groin last Friday and didnt last more than 2 innings.
Smotlz is friggin 40 years old, how do you heal that quick from a groin pull ?

So after he re injures it, here comes the Braves bullpen.

Can you say oh shit buckets . Because they suck out loud.

The Atlanta Braves have not had back to back wins in about a month or more. And they are going to take two games in a row
in the Bronx ?

Holy Smoltzy

NY Yankees steps up to the plate today and takes care of business.
Even if Smoltz goes 8 innings which I doubt, the Yankees will tag
him like a K-Mart special .

New York, which had won five of six prior to Tuesday's loss, will try and bounce back behind Chien-Ming Wang (8-3, 4.14). The Taiwanese righthander has won three of last four starts, including Friday's 6-5 triumph over Florida in which he allowed four runs in seven innings.

Smoltz (4-5, 3.89 ERA) said he doesn't expect a strained right groin to cause him any problems when he takes the mound Wednesday afternoon, but remains cautious after leaving Friday's start against Tampa Bay after lasting only 1 2-3 innings.

"It was all right but it was hard to push off these mounds," Smoltz said after a bullpen session Sunday

Game Summary - Win $277.00

Tell you what, that John Smoltz is a iron horse to be as old as he is with a pulled groin, and pitchs 7 innings.

But then the bullpen had to play. Ouch!~
.....................................................................
Jorge Sosa (2-10) walked Jason Giambi with one out. Rodriguez, mired in a 2-for-20 slump, then drove a 3-1 pitch way over the left-field fence for his 16th home run. The 2005 AL MVP clapped his hands and blew a kiss to the sky on his way to first, then tossed his helmet high in the air as he neared the plate for a warm greeting from teammates.

but the struggling Braves dropped two of three in the series to fall to 5-21 in June.

What began as a tense pitchers' duel between Atlanta's John Smoltz and New York's Chien-Ming Wang turned into a battle of the bullpens ? a weakness all season for the Braves.

Smoltz came out after seven innings leading 2-1.

Scott,

Check out the General Discussion Forum. Read JayJay's thread. $25,000 debt! Made me think of Edludes immediately. I'm sure he has some sound advice for him.
