today I was sitting at a redlight at a four lane intersection when a black man with a white cane was stumbling in front of me to cross the street.
he must have heard the bus coming on the other side of the busy road and he was trying not to have to wait the additional 30 minutes for the next one.
I was the first one at the light, and the light turned green.
I put my truck in park, left it running, got out and caught up to him , and walked the guy across the street, yelling at the bus driver to wait, which he did.
No one that was behind my truck attempted to pass my truck or honk their horn at me. All the other cars saw what was going on and stopped until he was safely on the bus.
In New York. People would more than likely ignored him, watched to see if he was killed, or
maybe put a side bet on him reaching the curb
without falling.
NY - what was the last nice thing you did for another human being ?
just saying
you're a class act :mj07: Yeah sadly in NY they probably would honk at car in front to go, etc, but people do kind things if you paid attention and read something besides madjacks youd know...ie people pull people out of fires to risk life, out of way of moving subway cars etc but you ny basher southern hermits dont see that after you're done reading the georgia sentinel.....
