Good post and I agree. Although USC was down 33-10 near end of the 3q. I would classify that being down a lot of pts. ;)

USC vs Ohio St. would have been great. OSU has something USC doesn't. EXPERIENCE! I thought USC might lose 1-2 games in 1h of season. If USC went undefeated in the 1h, USC would win out in the 2h. USC goes and loses 1st game in 2h of season. :D

I look forward to the USC/Ohio St. matchups in OOC. I think in 2008 and 2009. There is a poster here at MJ's who already has TRESSEL beating
CARROLL in his sig.

I can tell you one thing. This will prob. be the last year PC has a rebuilding year at USC. From here on out, (untile he leaves) USC will be reloading. It looks like OSU reloads on D side of ball. I think OSU will have big dropoff in O.

I say USC wins hands down @USC and @OSU will be tough. ;)

Yeah I'm glad to see they get to meet OOC...but I'm not going to call winner just yet...who knows what happens between then and now...and I believe every team goes through a rebuilding stage...its just bound to happen and this will be next season for OSU...I'm not really too big fan of this but next season OSU's schedule is a joke and it couldn't come at a better time for a young team...but the way things have looked so far with Tressel is he seems to make a title run every three to four years...and I will gladly take that...looking forward to 08-09 we'll have to hook up for beers if I'm able to make it to S. Cali...

What was wrong with USC's final drive?

The final drive only led to 6 points and not 8. A loss is a loss. How this team has two of the best WR in the nation and is unable to open things up is beyond me. Sure Smith went off vs. OSU, but he or Jarrett should do that every game.

I really wish UCLA had any sort of a coach or offense this year because this is a year their defense can shutdown SC.

USC did open it up in 2h and moved the ball very well. USC did score 31pts against OSU with OSU having ZERO turnovers. Remember, 4 of USC's offensive drives were stalled by turnovers. So putting up 31pts is actually impressive. USC easily could have had 40-50pts if USC A) didn't have 4 turnovers, and B) OSU had 1-3 turnovers themselves.

Smith and Jarret have both been hurt most of year. Which has hurt Booty's timing/progression with them and offense. Right now, I do not think Jarret is very physical. I am more impressed with Steve Smith.

Prob. what has hurt USC's offense more than anything was having their 1st, 2nd and 3rd string FULLBACKS injured. FB is huge part of USC's offense and tough for a D to defend against. SUCKS FOR USC! The FB killed Arkansas and USC put 50pts on them.

UCLA plays USC at the end of the year, so they can't beat Pete Carroll. If USC turns the ball over 4 times against UCLA, they do have a shot at the upset! ;)
