Balls Deep
They are all crooks. Democrats. Republicans. Politicians are scum.

This is nothing more than another tax. Require everyone to get coverage and subsidize the cost for the poor and then the middle and upper class picks up the burden with increases fees. A robinhood tax, simple as that.

You don't know this to be true.

Actually, I do. I'm not gonna discuss where I work on a public message board, but I'll say this, I work for a top Fortune 500 company and part of our job is to identify consumer spending habits. Wanna know a fun fact?

Guess what part of the population is responsible for the largest growth in consumer spending? The folks in the lower/below poverty class. Weird isn't it? Now, it would be easy to say "look, the welfare folks are getting all the handouts so they are spending the most money!" when in reality that's not the case. The problem is the lower/below poverty class is GROWING IN NUMBERS. So, while the Gov't, yes mostly Dems, will tout that they are doing a great job subsidizing that class and point to the spending growth, the reality is more and more people are slipping from the middle class and moving into that bucket.

That should scare the hell out of people.

So while the republicans are criticized for hollering about class separation, that is exactly what is happening. Obama already allowed the payroll tax to expire so another 2% of peoples paycheck is gone, now several more dollars are going to healthcare. The middle class worker will take home less money next year in their paycheck. We can all argue all we want about whether or not it's for the right reason, it doesn't change the fact that people will have less money next year to spend.

Is inflation going down to offset this? Is the Gov't spending less to help? No.

Cost of living goes up and people's income goes down. It doesn't take a market analyst to see this is heading down a dark path.

We voted for somebody who realizes that the health care system status quo sucks. The republicans have been in office 20 of the last 32 years and what did they do about it? Well that isn't why he got in, he was voted in because the republicans were so inept, they had a guy who was a bumbling fool (GW) who put the party way behind, then tried to right the ship with an old fossil (McCain) and then come back with a guy who is perceived to be for the rich and not care about anyone (Romney).

Instead of coming at the country with the same old dry diatribe. (They take yer guns, they kill babies, it's not in the bible), they should focus on getting somebody fresh with ideas, oh no can't do that since that party doesn't like change, a party that would rather in be 1913 then 2013. How about instead of telling the country this won't work and that won't work, come up with your own plan? Simple really

It already is the law of the land knucklehead and the Dow hit it's highest mark ever about a week ago. Wrong again, Hedge. Tell me another story parrot.

Between The Hedges
1-The fact that anyone still engages in conversation with hedge is simply baffling to me.

2-The US is no different than any other country born from revolution. Progressing from revolution to "we need more from the government" is natural.

3-For the few political mutts out there like myself,it is not about stopping the inevitable progression, it is about shaping it in a way that neither side is completely happy with. Incentivise less kids, education, community involvement, drug free, etc instead of rewarding laziness.

what is your solution? you are an attorney I am sure you make a decent wage, do you like that your money is going to a lazy ass who smokes dope all day and has 6 kids for their insurance or don't you want everyone to pull their weight?

The dope smoking lazy dude doesnt upset me anymore then the hard working family of 5 who rents and just scraps by, but doesnt pay their fair share in taxes either. Hell, even as a business owner I probably dont pay my fair share of taxes, but I dont piss off the top 1% who actually provide the infrastructure and public safety that I enjoy so much, why because I am trying and successful. Who rates what effort people put into their life? What if my bushiness flops? Overnight I become a freeloader?

I just dont get the hate from people on others, who in fact they themselves are sucking on the government tit.

I send my kids to private schools, my choice, I am not going to get pissed that my property taxes, which are HIGH pay for the renters kids schools. It's just not how I click.

If America flips and the rich start hating on the less fortunate more, I see scary things Hell, you want to take away a basic fundamental right of health care. If I was in a position where my child needed care and couldnt afford it, there is nothing I wouldnt do and most parents wouldnt do for their kids or family.

Long and short I guess I am willing to pay a little bit more to keep the sanctity of America in place. This is all if Obama care myths and wrong rumors are true, I really dont think it will have any effect, besides the ones like Papa John's who wants to make it an issue, fuck that guy.

Right behind you
(Reuters) - Americans will pay an average premium of $328 monthly for a mid-tier health insurance plan when the Obamacare health exchanges open for enrollment next week, and most will qualify for government subsidies to lower that price, the Obama administration said on Wednesday.

$328/month average (that includes old folks up to age 64) with a subsidy to bring it down for most people is damned cheap health insurance. Ten years ago I was paying twice that for a sorry-assed policy.

And, compared that what you can buy on the open market, it's non-cancellable, guaranted renewable if you get sick. Try buying THAT from a conventional insurer.

Their answer is: "You're sick? Too bad, no renewal for you. Go fuck yourself and die. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.."
