What are the best you folks have seen and where are they???

There is no way she makes it.....put the farm on it!!!!!

She will be lucky to shoot 152. Going to embarass the women's tour and I bet their ratings will go down another 10 viewers (50%) after they see their mediocre product.

Ooohh...I can't wait to see her hitting those 3 woods and long irons into Colonial!!!!! Gonna be lots of bogeys!!!!

I heard on the local radio the saudi prince placed a large wager with a sportsbook in LV that she WOULDN'T make the cut. Maybe he paid her 1/2 a mill to play like shit and he is still making a profit...

Am I the only one here that is for her playing in this tournament? I would rather this happen, so people can not say that women are better in sports. I wish every sport had an event that the women could straight-up go against the men. I love to hear how much better a certain woman is than the men. This will just prove it.

After saying that, I will say that I am kind of pulling for her to do well. I'm not sure why, but I would like to see her make the cut.

dawgball, I'm w/ya. The freaking wimps are afraid of getting beat by a woman, big deal!!! Men get beat in court everyday!!There are alot of men out that are really insecure w/themselves, give me a break.

It's a sponsor's exemption that will alow her play the same sponsor that pays these whiny ****s the prize $$, it has nothing to do with can she make the cut or why can't we play on the LPGA.

The only reason why VJ recanted is because his sponsors told him to shut up or you'll lose some $$ period.

Personally I could care less if she makes the cut or wins the tourney, I'm just tired of hearing about it.

Oh and by the way, how men whether professional or weekend hacker has ever shot a 59 and don't give me "it's from the ladies tees, a 59 is a 59 period.

Have a good day.

I could shoot 59 from the ladies tee, no problem.

She should not be out there, plain and simple. Hope she shoots 85, cries and wd's after first day.

penguinfan, give a try and then scan the card( granted it would be on the honor system, and we know how honest MOST golfers are). If you can shoot 59 from the ladies tees, them you should be on tour(PGA).

Plain and simple she received a sponsor's exemption. What a country we are all entitled to our opinions.

Good day

P.S. Just so you don't get pissed off, I didn't say you were a dishonest golfer.

From the club I play at I can think of about 4 holes that would not be driver-wedge from the girls tee's, and a short wedge at that. Granted it would not be aneveryday thing to hit 59, but I am SURE I could do it, I have shot 69 from the blue tee's there so I think on a decent day I could find another 10 shots in there.

I'm not upset, most golfers are full of chit, till it's time to up the ole $2 nassau to something more interesting ;)

I have shot 64 from the club I play at and it is harder than ANY women's tour course. And my game is no where near what it takes to make it on the tour. I tried to 4 spot it once on Monday qualifying and was about 10 shots behind where I needed to be and didn't play that badly.

Driver wedge all day on the women's courses IF you don't drive the green. Par 5's are driver-mid iron, maybe short iron for long ball hitters. Heck maybe wedge.

Totally different game. Greens much more receptive too. And women dont hit ball as high and with as much spin either. Makes a HUGE difference for the greens men play at.

just my 2 cents- she will make the cut- and fair well- this gal can play and is only 25-40 yards off of what the men can drive and her short game is better than alot of mens- as far as the wager is concerned +350 is value.

Gotta disagree on that one. She is probably a little more than 25-40 yards behind the men and even if we say she is that close she will still be hitting a 4-iron to greens where the guys are hitting 7 or 8-iron into, that is a gigantic dis-advantage. Certainly the short game is an even playing field, but to say her short game is better than most mens is far from true and, again lets say thats the case, how many shots will that save her against the field? How many times do the top half of the field not make par from inside 20 yards and how often will she find herself hitting 3 from more than 40 yards? Please don't think she is gonna pitch the majority of those in.
It's a bad bet to lay -440, but this looks safe.

Thunder, let me clarify. From 40 yards behind one of the men after her drive she will be hitting several clubs larger than the guys will, thats what I meant, I did not mean that from the same spot on the fairway she is 4 clubs shorter. I must admit I do not watch womens golf, so my numbers may be a bit off here, but after their tee shots if Mickelson has 160 to the green and she has 200 I really think she is at a tremendous dis-advantage and several clubs larger. Hope that clarifies what I means, again I did ot mean from 185 the men would have a short iron and she would be hitting a fairway wood.

Also....driving distances are computed with what you off the tee...

In LPGA, women hit drivers on vitrually every fairway because 1. fairways are so receptive and wide, and B. they do not hit them that far so the angle of error they have is much greater

In PGA, men hit all sorts of clubs and on some courses, they rarely hit driver...

So there is actually a greater disparity then shown.

As far as short game is concerned...on slower, more receptive greens, easier pins and lighter rough your short game gets a lot better and looks a lot better.....at Colonial we will see how she measures up against the men. These greens are the toughest thing about PGA. They are ridiculously tough.

Once again, watch her hit knuckle ball 3 wood and 3 iron into these par 4's and par 3's and we will see her try to save par time and again. It will be a grind out there and she will be lucky to break 150.

And every pro out there knows it. No value taking Annika to make the cut.

Will comment a little on disparity between womens and mens course setups on tour.
What are the odds an eigth grader would qualify to play in one of the PGA majors.

Not only can an 8th grader get in lpga major and make cut but also finish in top 10 as Michelle Wie did this year. You'll notice O in amount won. Not sure she was old enough for social security#

Year Player Finish To Par Score Dollars
2003 Patricia Meunier-Lebouc Win -7 70-68-70-73 = 281 240,000.00
