Do you really like venison or just killing? I don't think anyone really likes that gamy tasting stuff, especially not more than Papa John's.

If it is hung, butchered, and prepared correctly then the "gamy" taste is not there. Lots of people do not like duck for this reason as well, but if you would have eaten what we prepared last weekend at the lodge I promise you would have kept coming back for more. In general you are correct though, "gamy" = no good.

:toast:

I had some lamb in Jamaica last month and it was horrific. Very gamy. I have no idea how that can be appealing to anyone.

Yes and Yes
Bambicide by Bow or Bullet
The thrill of the chase, stalking dinner that tries to elude
The dinner plate is more of a challenge than sneaking up on
A vegetable at the grocery store

Unreal how this video makes some think about killing, why would one look at that video and think how great it would be to kill those deer.

Something seriously wrong with you if you look at that video and think, let's kill those animals, let's shoot em. It is a cute video of some deer getting some food. And some of you think, let's kill em.

Human beings suck.

When dinner comes to your back porch
It's hard to not think about it

I'm sure FDC would like to hit the water, whistle
And have trophy size fish jump into the boat

Actually Lumi, I don't eat any fish or seafood other than crab legs. Not even shrimp. I have eaten Moose, Deer, Elk, Pronghorn, Mule Deer, Black Bear, Buffalo, Ostrich, Alligator, Caribou, Pheasant, Goose, and I am sure a couple others that I may have forgotten to mention. I do not hunt. I do understand that many people like it and harvest everything for their dinner plate. I don't have a problem with it at all, it just isn't for me. I do have a problem with those that trophy hunt or feel the need to trap for sport. I promise you that if I ever witnessed someone needlessly killing a wolf or something like that and I had a clear shot, I would drop the fucker right on top of his poached prize and would sleep like a baby that night. I have absolutely zero tolerance for the bullshit that surrounds those type issues. I realize that livestock in the mountainous areas are subject to slaughter by wolves and such, however, the wolves were there long before the ranchers. They decided to move into wolf territory not the other way around. That kind of crap and poaching are hot button topics with me but I don't begrudge anyone their right to hunt within the rules. My issue is with things like the fact that NOBODY eats Rhinoceros meat, yet they are critically endangered. It's a fucking travesty and it's those people that turn the populace against hunting, well those and Ted Nugent. He is a complete fucking douchebag.

Hope this helps,
FDC

And I'd be right there giving you a high five. :00x27:00x30

As for Ted Nugent, be nice if you could kill him as well.

I don't whack em and stack em
For fun. I do it for necessity
Chow or protecting livestock
I agree on the anti wolf stance,
There are some extraordinary circumstances
That I may draw down on them
Yes man has encroached on the wolves environment,
But wouldn't that cover a majority of land where man
Is?
There are a lot of Basque people where I live,
They are shepherds, they secure their land, they
Don't cross the fence line to shoot
They have live traps, mainly for coyotes

Recently, in Lake Tahoe a bear was put down
By Fish and Game, the animal had been tagged and
Relocated 3 times until the action had taken place
It certainly was unfortunate for the bear, but a circumstance
Like that, extreme and final measures need to be taken

I didn't think that you would needlessly slaughter anything. You don't strike me as the type. The problem I have is the obtuse attitude many have towards the unnecessary slaughter of animals. They have actually opened up a hunt for wolves in certain areas in the states. Wolves used to roam the entire nation and now, a cow gets taken and people want to kill them all. I am not pointing fingers nor am I saying that the safety of human beings need to be considered, however, they could have never had a worry one about wolves had they decided to raise cattle in Kansas. They put themselves in wolf territory and now want to eliminate them from the face of the earth. We have eliminated enough species without cause for my liking. I think the herd we really need to cull is the only herd that wear shoes.
