YEAH YEAH ok i do scrap metal trade ............ but knowing how the yards work and what they pay on insultaed wire is $$$$$.

The top dollar paid on solid core wire right now is abouyt $1.25 a lb other wire .95 a lb to $1 a lb

SO i got dozens of contractors here in my area to contact and simply do this.

GO to them and pay them .20 more per lb than the scrap dealers pay them.

THEN using a super fast stripping machine that cost a meager $200 highest price was $1500 ;;;take home the 100 lbs and have it done in like 2 hours time.

then take in the # 1 bare bright clean wire to higher paying yards in NJ get the $2.95 a lb for it or $3.25 a lb for it Double my money in 3 hrs time maybe 4 hrs time. The machine is like a drill press shape all you do is attach a varible speed drill to it then feed wire into proper guage slot and it's slits the wire on both sides with rotary blades made of titaninum steel.

Does 30 ft per minute of single strand wire. I know that from experience your 16 guage house wire that has 3 strands in it that 7.5 foot = 1 lb so that actually is about 22 feet per lb.

This means that i get 1.5 lbs per minute or more depending on wire thickness like 14 - 12 - 10

10 guage solid core is power line stuff wrapped stranded that 5 foot = 5 lbs in other words a virtual weapon like a club.

SO just need to get the machine 1st

it's here got it today delivered by my postamn and no he dont ring twice LOL
Ia sked him why the high shipping fee $27.50 USPS .....finally he said Thats E bay charge not us. I said your right thats why i guess for insurance etc...

any way will decide what table to use to set this up on really no pulling is needed the drill turns the gear that truns the cutting wheel through the insul;ation so the larger old kitchen table i use should be fine.

Guess set it up at edge so insultaion drops off in trash can on solid core wires. stranded core wires i have to peel by hand but at laest hand ain't used to strip it as with other one i have that half manual and the lil steel rod i have in drill cannot spool solid core on it it just spun freely.

I was thinking maybe some how rig up something that sepeartes the wire after slitting it but you need something to grab the copper and the inslutaion to hold them apart as the machine runs it through.

so he;; with it most wires solid core 20 to 30 feet long in regualr two story house.

All i have to do is run wire along any round or squrae edge table leg to make it smooth staright.

IN other words ni kinks or bends to make jam or jump off because it gets cut at about 2500 rpm recommend slow speed so i have to use the poratble drill i have not the high speed electric one that will destroy the machine at high speed setting.

I know how to make a chain link device to set for drill speed slower i think 1500 rpm is all i need for 30 foot per minute I figure it out doing it by holding button in with hand 1st mark it at that point with marker then set the chain to that spot.

start wire by hand make sure blade just tousches bare wire not to tight and of course lubricate the wheels and blade so they have no friction.

Monday i strta pounding pavement knock on doors of all local contractors who deal with wiring on jobs like offices and houses Heating and AC ones also also go after scrappers who get lots of wire that dont strip it all i have to do is hang out at the yard all day hand them my flyer with the deal i'm making and set it up.

Of course outside the yard i dont want them seeing me taking money from them heaven forbid some shmuck takes away 1000 lbs per week from you.
Wow that's really going to cut your profits aint it?
