YEAH YEAH ok i do scrap metal trade ............ but knowing how the yards work and what they pay on insultaed wire is $$$$$.
The top dollar paid on solid core wire right now is abouyt $1.25 a lb other wire .95 a lb to $1 a lb
SO i got dozens of contractors here in my area to contact and simply do this.
GO to them and pay them .20 more per lb than the scrap dealers pay them.
THEN using a super fast stripping machine that cost a meager $200 highest price was $1500 ;;;take home the 100 lbs and have it done in like 2 hours time.
then take in the # 1 bare bright clean wire to higher paying yards in NJ get the $2.95 a lb for it or $3.25 a lb for it Double my money in 3 hrs time maybe 4 hrs time. The machine is like a drill press shape all you do is attach a varible speed drill to it then feed wire into proper guage slot and it's slits the wire on both sides with rotary blades made of titaninum steel.
Does 30 ft per minute of single strand wire. I know that from experience your 16 guage house wire that has 3 strands in it that 7.5 foot = 1 lb so that actually is about 22 feet per lb.
This means that i get 1.5 lbs per minute or more depending on wire thickness like 14 - 12 - 10
10 guage solid core is power line stuff wrapped stranded that 5 foot = 5 lbs in other words a virtual weapon like a club.
SO just need to get the machine 1st
heres Video Cost is $250 i think or $175 plus shipping n taxes .whatever :00hour
