i thought that since it's a slow time of year for some of us (until football season), i thought it would be curious to see what jobs (legal & illegal) each member has/had in his/her life....

i'll go first since it's my idea.....in no particular order...

hopefully we'll get some interesting responses

no responses....i guess it's too personal...i'll edit my info...

AR 182's lazy son.

That's no surprise - I was going to respond to the post so I quoted what AR182 said, when my computer disconnected itself from the internet, then I was distracted by editing some photos on my computer and other things...anyway pressed back on my browser and this is what I was going to post...I hope AR is not too mad at me for quoting one of his occupations...

(legal & illegal)

in no particular order...

pot salesman

Now I had an inkling you were not being a perfect role model for your son s-murphy :SIB

A few other "odd" jobs
Currently unemployed...I would really like to be the personal chef for someone rich - is that too much to ask
...for now just setting up businesses for people and doing their taxes...

Nanotechnology is a field of applied science and technology covering a broad range of topics. The main unifying theme is the control of matter on a scale smaller than 1 micrometer, normally between 1-100 nanometers, as well as the fabrication of devices on this same length scale. It is a highly multidisciplinary field, drawing from fields such as colloidal science, device physics, and supramolecular chemistry. Much speculation exists as to what new science and technology might result from these lines of research. Some view nanotechnology as a marketing term that describes pre-existing lines of research applied to the sub-micron size scale.

Despite the apparent simplicity of this definition, nanotechnology actually encompasses diverse lines of inquiry. Nanotechnology cuts across many disciplines, including colloidal science, chemistry, applied physics, materials science, and even mechanical and electrical engineering. It could variously be seen as an extension of existing sciences into the nanoscale, or as a recasting of existing sciences using a newer, more modern term. Two main approaches are used in nanotechnology: one is a "bottom-up" approach where materials and devices are built from molecular components which assemble themselves chemically using principles of molecular recognition; the other being a "top-down" approach where nano-objects are constructed from larger entities without atomic-level control.

The impetus for nanotechnology has stemmed from a renewed interest in colloidal science, coupled with a new generation of analytical tools such as the atomic force microscope (AFM) and the scanning tunneling microscope (STM). Combined with refined processes such as electron beam lithography and molecular beam epitaxy, these instruments allow the deliberate manipulation of nanostructures, and in turn led to the observation of novel phenomena. The manufacture of polymers based on molecular structure, or the design of computer chip layouts based on surface science are examples of nanotechnology in modern use. Despite the great promise of numerous nanotechnologies such as quantum dots and nanotubes, real applications that have moved out of the lab and into the marketplace have mainly utilized the advantages of colloidal nanoparticles in bulk form, such as suntan lotion, cosmetics, protective coatings, and stain resistant clothing. :com: :com: :com:

Well, I worked for a small shop that I was supposedly going to be managing within a few months - I made lots of morning pastries like scones and danish pastries...but my boss was a complete slacker :weed: and I quickly realized that I was not going to be managing within months and the operation was overall less than desirable...so I left and about a month after I left he was busted for tax evasion...

Anyway, perhaps there is good money in that...I really just want to be a chef of some sort - people always tell me to open my own restaurant, but it's too much for me right now, and I can't deal with working for someone else  I guess I'm a little spoiled, but I want to start catering or being a personal chef for someone or something like that. I just really love to cook...and earning money at what I am most talented at would make me very happy.

sorry Al, just whipped that off the top of my head :D

:mj07: :mj07:

Yeah, we were designing some pretty cool things...a computer that fits into the palm of your hand that projects lasers out for a screen and lithium-ion batteries, molecular rotors that spin on gold and all kinds of other "cool" stuff...if you're into things like that

small catering businesses are very popular here in the phoenix area. when we first moved to the valley, i wanted to open a catering business with my wife. the wife had taken a few cooking courses & is an excellent cook (makes a great duck among other things) & i was going to market the business & my lazy ass son was going to be the delivery boy. she thought it would be too much & my lazy ass son decided to go into the map business...so nothing happened.

hh...you should go for it...

I pay $6 bucks an hour under the table if you know what i mean

I expect breakfast at 11 am. rice krispies and skim milk. i don't need any foo foo pastries. once a week you can make pancakes but dont ruin them with fruit or something. i also expect it in bed.

Lunch is served when i so desire around 3 in the afternoon. i can come to the kitchen for that. nothing too heavy, but please not a damn sandwich everyday. use creativity.

Dinner around 8 or so. Switch it up. I don't care about the 4 food groups, but it has to taste good and be a mix of healthy and unhealthy.

Desert around 9. There definitely has to be some sort of chocolate involved in this process. Again no foo foo pastry.

you work 7 days a week and i suppose can have 1 day off a month. after 3 years we can talk raise. and i don't pay overtime so make sure you are cleaning up as you go. in your downtime before meals you can study or do your girl things, but i would prefer studying up on new recipes.

that's all for now. you can start tomorrow.

maybe so...i forced him (threatened to take away his liquor) to sell it at the schools he attended..his prinicpal was his biggest buyer. and that's how i'm able to live in such comfort now.

Sheesh - sounds like my DREAM job, but unfortunately I do not know how to make rice krispies, so I'll have to pass...
