That was actually meant as a compliment...as I find most people on this board very reasonable and well informed.
One thing tho, it DID amuse me that when I was in the US that the nightly 'world news', contained no news from anywhere other than the US!

Kick it is really pretty simple, if you don't agree with Bush you will be portrayed as no good or worse by the Bush, er I mean Murdoch based media. No big deal really as all thinking Americans know you guys are true friends.

I agree that Canada is an ally and although I have never been there ... a decent country with decent people.
France on the other hand and many other countries around the world can suck my balls. And I also do not like our leadership in the US and politics in general. We do not even have a true democracy ... we get basically 2 candidates who basically represent the power players in business and politics in our country and are forced to choose between 2 evils. I would like to see a regular, yet intelligent person with morals, values and common sense to run out country if I had a real choice. Not a puppet for the rich and powerful.
Will be hosting some Canadian friends this very week. All I know personally are class acts, and they are one of our best allies for sure.

anti-americanism isn`t some new phenomenon....as a matter of fact it`s considered quite "chi-chi" in many left leaning american and european circles.....and obviously some aussie circles....although i believe you are in the minority...
