To many neocon thinkers Tapir. The thought of me making them a penny is to disturbing for my liking :SIB
And that guy like the man he is proved the point like he usually does.
No, the guy who was standing in the ungodly long line with me was insisting that the fixes come down from the league's head office. Not some rogue ref looking to make some money.
This Donaghy stuff - yea.. a ref influenced the game, but he wasn't carrying out orders from the corporate office like that other douchebag was ranting about.
can you forward me those million dollar emails? If you aren't going to hop on the money train, I will.
How you draw the federal government into refs trying to shave or add points is entertaining to say the least.
Congratulations on your 94.7% handicapping. :jerkit:Hey judgy i rip 19 out of 21 picks last week. Guess how? Betting the games would go to the books being they were heavily bet games. Let me know if you want me to list them for ya. One of the two losses was a wash of a bet i didn't like so really it was 18 out of 19.

Put your money were your mouth is and i will give you five to one odds and show you those last 21 wagers ending on Sunday night.
Don't worry Agent, I would rather gouge out my left eye with a popsicle stick.OMG, PLEASE tell me we aren't going to have to suffer through you two trying to come to terms on a bet again.........:s1:

Personally, I can't imagine any kind of advantage in trying to bet on games that might have some kind of fix on them, whatever it might be. As I said, some umps and refs seem to somewhat favour the home squads but, for umps at least, we have that information available at our disposal (which is what merit I give it). I try to 'cap games based on available information and whatever inspiration might come when considering whatever I can. Anybody that thinks that they can make money based on what the "public" is betting or what the "league wants" is probably in for an arduous journey. This recent Donaghy shit kinda pisses me off but, other than maybe avoiding a sport that a don't know anyways, I don't think I'll be changing my approach in the near future.
Interesting replies, anyways.
For the most part.
:mj07: :mj07: :mj07:"Stern wants the LA/Bos series to happen, so you know that was going to come through, but all the money was Boston -6 or 6', so the refs and players had to make sure the game stayed under a 6 point win. If you were dumb enough to not see this one a mile away, I can't help you anymore than that!"
