One good early play.

Back in January Wake was a 1.5 fave at home over ND and won 65-58.

Last week Wake beat Duke at home 82-72 as a 12.5 underdog.

The line for today opened at 3.5 and quickly went to 4 where it's held since early yesterday but Bookmaker just dropped it to 3.5 so I'm thinking some sharp money is coming in on Wake.

This has to be a home court advantage for Wake and Wake is 14-4 at home and ND 1-9 as visitors. I'll take the 4 points with a bigger than average bet here.

Good luck!

I agree jack, but why do you think they opened as 3.5 dogs, especially considered they were 1.5 point faves first go around

Exactly. The public suckers just saw them beat Duke, and now they are getting points against a shitty ND team. :mj07:

Easy money, right? :mj07:

Normally would agree with the logic except feel ND is the public team with the national following.

Think about the casual bettor who just woke up and see to early game: wow ND is only 4 Pts against Wake and they play it. Why: because most don't even know awake beat Duke

This line definitely had me scratching my head. Did Vegas make ND the fav solely based on revenge factor? The teams have similar records with Wake winning the last meeting. I would've expected WF to be favored by -1 again.

I'm definitely playing the Deacons here, just a wierd line, IMO.

This ain't football. ND is not a public team on the hardwood. The public are thinking about the fact that they just beat Duke and are getting points. I am curious as to why you think anyone betting on this game would not be aware that Wake just beat Duke as a DD dog...

Man, I think the public is way smarter than you give them credit for. The technology era we live in puts all information at the tip of your fingers in a millisecond.

Agreed. That's why I expected WF to be favored again here. A weird line, indeed...

Chew on this WF was 14-4 @ home this year...THIS IS A NEUTRAL SITE where WF is 1-2 and ND is 1-1.
What's nuts is ND was 1-9 away this year...

Bookmakers must know something here....Maybe just a bad match up for WF.

The sharp money is on Wake, laugh all you want.

I used the Duke game as reference because Wake is strong at home and this is basically a home game for them. They followed the Duke win with the loss to Miami on the road.

Home court not an advantage? In a tournament?

Go ahead and back the public ND on the road with their 1-9 road record, go ahead. :0008

It's a home game for Wake, where's their campus, 20 minutes down the road?

Bad match up? What's the difference from the match up in January when Wake was favored?

The game could be 20 mins away or 20 hours away its still a neutral site and is not a home game.
Different rims...Different surroundings. HUGE DIFFERENCE.

I agree with that but if the crowd isn't hugely favoring Wake in this game I definitely made a mistake backing them. I'm hoping a home crowd is more of an edge for Wake and a disadvantage for ND.
