No Question my life has gotten better!!

and so has the life of everyone around you.

just the tip of the iceberg my friend.

in the coming days, months and years you will continue to reap the rewards from not only the simple decisions you have made but also from the serious ones.

the results are sometimes subtle and other times you will just burst out laughing when the fruits of your sobriety hit you on the head.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Very Heavy. Put down a fifth of Captain Morgan daily and if i had the following day off work, it would be more. Never attended AA, did it cold turkey. I did buy a book..."How to quit drinking without using AA". Only thing I really got out of it, was the fact I was slowly killing myself. Made me open my eyes and realize how precious life is. WD symptoms? You betcha. Took me months to get a good night sleep and my nerves were a mess. Had numbness and tingling in my hands, arms and feet for several weeks. Had to actually go on a mild anti depressant for a couple of months to get through the severe anxiety issues I was having. To be honest with you, the with drawl symptoms I experienced alone will keep me away from ever going back. I NEVER want to go through that again.

You know, many people can live a healthy and normal life while enjoying alcohol. For me, I was always out of control. I couldn't just have a drink with dinner. My thinking was "why drink unless you plan on getting drunk". I guess it started in High School and got worse in College. I WILL NEVER GO BACK. You never know when your time on this earth will end. I spent 17 years going through life DRUNK, STONED OR BOTH. God only knows what I missed. My eyes are open now.

Been in denial for about 4 months now. Hate to admit it, but....:toast:

It was just a cocktail with dinner, then a few out with friends rarely, then no biggie to have one or two a day....... It was all behind me. I would never go back to being an alcoholic NEVER.. I just now realized that I'm right back where I started on Jan 15th 2007. Not to mention adding :weed: back into the equation ( quit that 15 years ago).

The power and support of you all helped me beat it last time. Just had to put it out there. Losing my job is no excuse, Turing 40 is no excuse, but between the 2 all happing within a week, I'm in bad shape.

Positive vibes please...

Thanks.

I guess I don't get it Old School. I guess I'm just stupid.

Nobody puts a gun to your head to drink. If drink is in hand, either drink or don't drink.

There's not much else to it.

No disrespect intended.

Lordy, Lordy.

I'll check out for a few days.

you are not stupid nole..and no need to check out of the discussion..

you and others can learn how powerful the grip is and become aware of symptoms that lead to ruin thru alcohol consumation..

first tip..

social drinkers don't drink everyday..that is why is called social drinking..
