Tomorrow marks 3 weeks to the day of being Fired. Haven't been sober one of them. I just can't go down this road any longer. Positive vibes and or prayers welcome. Gotta start being alive instead of just living. :s1:

Mully, I've been thinking about you the last few days and wondering how you have been faring. Remember that it is one day at a time. It starts with being sober one day. You know you can do it! Wishing you the best.

Mully- you have posted at least 4 or 5 good byes to handicapping that are similiar to this good bye to drinking post. I wish you luck and hope you get it together, but christ sakes mully, you have an addictive personality........you can't drink, get high or gamble and keep it all in perspective. It can't be done.Get whatever help you need but understand, the forum can't help you quit.Get off the forum and into therapy if you are serious about quitting. No handicapping,no drinking,no getting high,EVER.It depresses me to see you come back telling everyone its all ok,you can drink, you can gamble. You can't!!!Its no shame or embaressment.Go to a support group focus on honoring your family.Everyone here wishes you the best of luck, but you need to get out of this environment to get yourself permanently sober.your life is not over, but you must stop denying theres a problem.Heartfelt goodluck to you...........................

Thank you so much E.

You nailed it. Whatever I get in a habit of doing, I do it HARDCORE. Prior to my junior year in High School, it was golfing, running and working out. after that, it's been drinking, smoking and gambling. The bad part, Ive been GREAT at everything Ive ever put my mind to and I've enjoyed IT ALL. Only problem...None of them mix.

SOBRIETY DOESN'T NEED A MIXER

you know the road..

WALK DOWN IT

I DO know the road.

walked down it before OS.

NEVER thought I would have to walk down it again.

Pray for me bro. I need it.

Here I am, drunk off a entire bottle of rum. 8 hours of wasted time and gambling my ass off. I've always believed in God and felt as if someone or something as been looking out for me. I was born lucky and have had every opportunity to succeed. So many doors I could have walked through, but yet I always choose the same one. The wrong one. God if you hear me, I pray I haven't done too much damage to the inside of the shell you provided me. My soul has never weakened. Thank you for giving me the strength to wear a smile and try my best to help others during this life. I pray that you give me enough time on this earth to become the person I was destined to become.

Thank you ALL for the support over the years.

After reading your post again tonight E, I realize what I need to do. Thank you for your brutal honesty.

Thank you Old School for being my guardian angel over the years.

Enjoy the adventure. You can always get My email or number to shoot the breeze. Nothing wrong with a little suppor and the road doesnt have to be a lone one.

Enjoy your time away and may your life be so blessed that you dont have time to be tempted tp return.

You will be missed bud.

One day at a time.

Mully...
Don't get here much anymore but this is close to home for me and I truly wish you the best!!
My suggestion would be AA immediately. Millions have been where you are and have found help from day one. You'll be with good people like yourself ...people who have been there ..done that and more. BEST!
