LOOKS like a better card today but I am running out of patience for this twack to start co-operting once again.

Today

1st race: Yesterday, the most prob. winnah on the card was in an early race, Hollopenny. Putting at least a couple of $20s on that one to win would have been the way to go if the name at the front gate read "Aqueduct", but NOT Philly. Sure enough, that one won. Think it paid $4.60.

Today, the same situation arises with the 2nd race - play is no. 2 Nanseeyouin Heaven. M.L. is 3-1 but I could see this one getting bet to favoritism. It only takes ONE thing to make me pass (at this track) on the big straight bet thingy and, in this case, it's the jockey. I still think this one is best. However, the play is NO. 6, Prairie Trip (6-1 M.L.) cause we're talking Philly. Wheel top/bot. And, of course, a little extra on the ticket with the no. 2 on it.

3rd race: I spent (wasted?) the time with this one and come up with No PLAY.
FYI, the ratings I got are 1-5-2.

4th race: Tries, anybody? If so, 2/1,4,6,7/1,4,6,7 AND 1,4,6,7/2/1,4,6,7.
Don't forget the "magic" in this one either... exata box, 2<->6.

6th race: KEYs are nos. 6 and 8. One gets wheeled top/bot the other gets played across the board (2x Show). Both are at good odds. OH, a little 2<->6 exacta action? You betcha!

8th race: In this race - see the hoss I wrote a LOT about a couple of weeks ago (how much I LUV this hoss). Well, she's in with much tougher today. Pass her up at your own risk, I ain't. The play is Barely Nothing any which way ya can think of. Nos. 3,4,6 look like nice mates for her for starters. I'll prob add at least one more to go with Barely.

Yet, no. 5 has all the credentials to win this race and needs to be played on the side, prob. to WIN, only.

Going a bit overboard today. Thinking that I'm due for a payday and if things go sour today - it's gonna be time for a horsey vacation, prob. after this week.

G.L. today at your track of choice.

Wrap up time

Wrap up time

:0039 WTF, Only 29 stinkin views??

Best news of the day - the Peepers ain't even interested in even just reading the STUFF. Way to go, Peeps. Good move.

When one of your/mine favorite hoss's (8th race) finishes LAST.... that's gotta be an omen that it may be vacation time. Can't say that B.N. had "nothing", after all she flew down the backstretch after a poor start. I don't know where the stamina she had went though.

Results summary (I'll spare yas the details}:

Despite the fact that I picked the WRONG one of the two picks to wheel in the 6th (zacta paid $50.60), made ONE good move today by getting a double+ dose of some across the board action on that there no. 8 hoss in the 6th and that ALMOST saved the day after you add the returns on the scwatches.
And the "LUCK" meter is glued to zero (check out how the no. 2 ran in the 1st wace). No, I didn't play that one (another good move) and got back all bets on no. 6 in that race.

Still, the objective isn't to try to break even or barely avoid a disaster everyday.

Game plan is to see about coming up with only one or two plays for tomorrow and they gotta be extraordinary too. No sense posting it/them.
Then, see if Tuesday's card is better than last Tuesday's (that was awful).

THEN .. see if it's time for a horsey vacation for a month or maybe much more. :0028

U.S. Open will keep me busy :)
After that, got two major research/shopping projects coming up...

Of course, if things keep going the way they have been at Philly lately (prob. won't).. I'll have to get an economy model instead...

Well, the part time hossplayers should be stopping in to post something when the Breeders Cup (circus) comes to town. I'm pretty sure that there are a few oldtimers around here that just stopped posting. Based on what I've seen them post - thems are FULL timers and know the game. Maybe they just lost interest in posting?

I've held my own with the Triple Crown over the years, but those races between CLONES has costed me more than I'd like to remember. Didn't play a single one of those dang races last year and only one B.C. hoss the year before. Throwing darts for a living can be hazardous to your bankroll.

Hate to leave ya, carrying the ball by yourself, Koz. Don't let the forum ruin your enjoyment of this sport.

Good luck whatever track you play.

WTF???

WTF???

I don't get it?? Peoples keep piling in here for WHAT??? 368, or whatever the number is, VIEWS looks great but it doesn't mean a thing.

Pretty sure it ain't for Phlly Pri...er, PICKS. Posting picks to myself don't make sense.

IF any Mjer is interested in picks (sorry, Philly works best for me) do chime in. IF any guests/peepers are interested - just join this forum (you can post in any of the forums and it's FREE) and let us know you're interested.

AND... if any replier does follow racing, Philly style especially, write it here and I'll post a book back to ya. :)

While I'm here, I might as well mention that I've been keeping my head just above water since I last posted but absolutely nuthin special. Bankaroo is actually down a bit, not much. I've been playing more tickets (zotic combos) and that's been saving the day, but it's risky. Just missed two nice exactas but that's par for hoss wacin. Been happening way too often.

I employ LOOKERs in my capping and they almost always have plenty of early speed NO MATTER WHAT THE PPs say. If, in the races that I think are PLAYABLE, the current trend of runners coming from far back and then swooping down the stretch to nose out an early speedster continues.. .. .. .I have little chance of turning this ship around. Yes, one of my monster (and I mean MONSTER) winnahs did come from way back to bring home the stack of loot, but that doesn't happen enough. If you see that trend (cycle, I HOPE) continuing, don't bother to chime in cause I have little chance of coming up with those kind of winning runners.
