If it wasn't for last second decisions and some LUCK along the way... I'd be on some kinda losing streak alright. But I got plenty of faith in my capping to pull out of this mess and, just like winning streaks - losing or mediocre streaks gotta end provided the handicapping is up to snuff.

Also, been checking out two new ways to betem and the results after using huge sample sizes say that that they have some promise. No way I'm changing the way I cap them though. Looks like the bets (tickets) are kinda heavy, but it's actually quite conservative over the long run. Let's call them "Sys. A" and Sys. B" although I hate that word "system".

4th race
No. 2 top/bot 1,4,7

5th race
Top picks are the 3 and 6. OF COURSE, that means a 1-3-6 tri box is in order. Just don't look at the pps for no. 1 (I gotta close my eyes when I bet this thang). Actually, Brahman (no. 1) wasn't a bad horse awhile back. Also, you never know how this 5 year old is gonna run after taking a pretty long vacation. If it's recent workouts for his return mean anything, it WON'T be good. Still, magic nos. are MAGIC NOS. If nothing else, the rail should help.

OK, here we go.. .. a SYS. B applies for this race. So the bets are -> no. 3 to win only (MEDIUM sized bet) and zacktas -> 6 top/bot with 4,5,8,9. Let's see how this fiasco works out.

6th race
4,11 top/bot 1,3. Zacks.

7th race
Another Sys. B thingy.... . . no. 7 (MED. bet to WIN, only) and no. 1 top/bot 2,5,6,7 zacks.

That's it.

Hang in there.

Wrap up for Mon and Tues picks

Wrap up for Mon and Tues picks

Yesterday: Picks for 4 races, caught two exactas and got back some scratch moola. . Not a profitable day cause the zacks were small payers, BUT .. the potential was there to catch some REALLY worthwhile retuens and the total losses were small as well. That holds especially true for the "Sys. A" and "B" thngies. That is, they only woulda lost a little for the day and, with a little luck, coulda won a lot.

Looks like only the robots showed up yesterday so I will have to tellyas that I DID catch the 9th race zack and winner. Guess I gotta also tellyas that the
payoffs - bets = only enough to buy a couple of hot dogs and a beer, IF THAT, for that race.

But, here's the impotent part - that last race had a hoss that ran in a MSW in it's only race. ALMOST always play a horse that drops into a claiming maiden affair from a MSW race no matter how poorly it did in the MSW. Double the bet (which I didn't do) if it drops into a LOW class claimer like the one did on Monday's 9th. To the best of my knowledge, this holds true for all twacks.

Only got two races capped so far tor today so I'll see if I can get back, depending on how long it takes me to finish today's card. I think MJers may be more interested in Derby preps these days anyways.

G.L.

update for today

update for today

No problem, Hammy... I know you're a "fast learner" ;)

ONLY two playable waces today

Races two and seven were the ones. Had a BIG sheet of paper just full of ways to bet that 7th, spent a half hour trying to figure out how to bet it. Just to get to the point.. I picked the WRONG one. :(

SURE enough the right one was on that dang piece of paper too. A $355+ zackta - SON-ah-ma-BEACH!!! (couldn't overcome that dang propensity again, sorry).

Other race was the 2nd.. another LOSAH!

Gonna check out the "L@@KERS" for the 9th.

Good luck with them final Basketballers, y'awl.
