By the time we get to the polls on November 2, what do you think people will be thinking about when they get there? For the sake of argument, let's leave out those who are one party voters, no matter what. John Q, Jane Q, what do you think?
Personal safety/terrorism, economy/deficit, corruption, gay conservatives, dirty democrats, etc.
The thought occured to me as my heart skipped a beat yesterday when reading the headline about a small plane hitting a NYC building. That could have weakened some confidence in how safe we are all told we are due to all the new policies, along with North Korea, Iran, etc. Just saying the fact that someone can take off from an airport and just fly into a building has to give people a pause and a reminder of how fragile security really is these days. Recently, the lowered gas prices and better economic reports probably have tempered the negativity against the incumbents. The Iraq war probably will be top of mind, but that has been pushed back to page 3 lately with everything else going on.
Interesting to think about. And just think what we have in store over the next month and a half!
