Yea whatever..as if what you say deserves credit. You want a link your lazy ass can find it.

The school's tickets are obviously distributed by the school's in whatever manner they choose. I would doubt it is a pure lottery - bigger donors get the tickets. Texas Rose Bowl donors of $2k/yr got tickets, as well as lettermen and some students.

First part: classy as usual from you :mj07:
Like I said, gimme a link. I can post that Charles Barkley is the US president. If I cant prove it, it is MEANINGLESS!!!

Secondly, my friend Brad who graduated last year won 2 tickets in the lottery. Guess how much he has donated? 0000000000000000000

There goes that theory. You shouldnt be arguing if you have nothing to back it up with.

Seriously Sun, if you wanna take shots at ND go do it somewhere else.

When you throw statistics out, be prepared to prove them or dont bother posting them.

And that has what do with this? Find a post where I ever praised Mack Brown. You cant, but homers like you cant fathom other people not being homers too.

Last I checked Notre Dame lost that game. And he was a great game planner against that vaunted Michigan State squad. Mack Brown has his team in the big game. Get back to me if Weis ever does. And if you want to count assistant coaching bullshit, Brown has a national title at OU.

What a blowhard. Like I give a shit what you think. I didnt bash Notre Dame, just pointed out their fans aint flocking to Tempe. And I am thrilled for your friend Brad. I am sure he will enjoy the consolation game. Like I said, the schools distribute however they wish. Just because ND may have used a lottery for theirs doesnt mean anyone esle does. Of course since you dont have a link iwhat you said must not be worth anything.

Mack Brown has a Rose Bowl victory last year and a 12-0 record this year that says he knows what he is doing. Don't think you can say the same thing about Charlie Weiss.
I think Charlie is a great coach and has done a terrific job turning around ND, but don't act like Mack Brown has done nothing in college football, he has done more than Charlie has!

I do not doubt Su Tzus statement, if each school is giving out 1/4 of the tickets to each school then the remaining half can and are likely going 2/1 osu

In the Fiesta Ohio State is buying the vast majority of those tickets. Maybe their alums just make more money or care more about the game.

Right OR maybe ND alums have J-O-B-S and work during the week like most of America. Not everyone can take off on a Tuesday and Wednesday right after having holiday time off. There is more than ONE WAY to put a tilt on any statistic. I am perhaps more clever than you so dont even bother..

I'm not the one posting numbers, so I dont need a link. Just save us all the hassle of your mack brown, texas, charlie weis, opinions about my friend speeches and provide a link. You OBVIOUSLY cant do that, so it is assumed to be false.

Consolation game? Guess who got 13 million dollars from this game? How much did Texas get? Thats tooooooooooo bad. ND is a winner no matter what angle you try to play.

You are kidding? How delusional are you? You think the money is what matters, or that Texas doesnt already have more than it can ever spend? You can have $13 million,- any real fan cares about the championship, not bowl payouts.

And you are the one who suddenly started a Weis Mack Brown discussion not me.

And calling me a liar is classy?

Shame is if you had bet my bowl plays you could afford to go to the consolation game.

I dont believe statistics that are not linked to the source. You shouldnt either. Believe it or not, people are misinformed sometimes, so dont believe everything you read.

Its pretty easy to do more than someone when its their FIRST YEAR IN THE SPORT! How long has Brown been coaching college football, as an assistant or whatever?? How long for Weis? OBVIOUSLY he has done more overall.

Another low blow. Wow, even from you, I am disgusted. I'm not calling ANYONE a liar. Dont twist that around. If you cant back up a statistic with CONCRETE evidence, it has no relevance or meaning!

Who cares about your bowl plays or me affording to go to a bowl game? You know NOTHING about me. Dont take this to a personal level.

Bowl games ARE about money. Bottom line. Money for the venue, the schools, the sponsors, the home city, etc. Everyone makes money from it. The schools get recognition, increased enrollment, more interest in the football program etc. Money is the bottom line. Texas is nothing more than huge public school. ND is one of our nation's finest private universities, an endowment that UT couldnt even COUNT!! Dont take another low blow at ND by saying they need the money! You sound green with envy though or else you wouldnt be saying that! :s4:

You assume my statement is false but also claim to not be calling me a liar? Yeah, that makes sense.

Yup, lying requires an intention to be dishonest. Maybe you didnt INTEND to lie, but unknowingly made statements that are in fact, false??

You brought up the money.

And do research on endowments. UT could buy Notre Dame over and over. You are looking more foolish in each post.

I really dont see what difference the whole ticket thing makes, basically we all know ND is a dog and playing against a better more tested team. I will be rooting for ND as i have in most games this year.
Dont act like Mack Brown is a joke is all im trying to say, which you were implying in your post!
Just drop all of this bashing each others teams that has gone on for 2 pages too long,
Lets get back to what this post was made for which was to bash Caesar for being a know it all prick who opened his mouth too wide. lol

ND had great gameplan but remember ND had to convert high # of 3rd downs. USC D executed their gameplan except ND did one step better in making those 3rd down conversions. TOUGH TO DO and ND did it. Texas isn't capable of that type of offense and gameplan Weis used. Texas is quick strike offense.

The best gameplan is to NOT turn the ball over to USC. USC feeds on off turnovers like no other. It seems like when an opponent turns the ball over, its game over.

If I am Texas, I be very aggressive and not punt inside 50. Automatic 4 down territory. DON'T KICK FIELD GOALS! Anytime there is 4th and 1, GO FOR IT! Don't punt.

Sun Tzu said:
Each school gets the same number of tickets. Same is true in every bowl game. Texas is twice is big as USC - each school gets 22k.

That is correct. I think the way USC did it was scholarship donors get 8 tickets, then cardinal and gold (2.5k each person) gets 2 tix, then rest season ticket holders + student lottery get the remaining tix.

I think USC got more tix last year for the Orange Bowl. Not sure why RB gave each school so little. A lot of unhappy USC season ticket holders lost out on the lottery. I think USC had 60k season ticket holders.

Are Texas fans out numbering USC fans? Wouldn't surprise me. I expect a 50/50 crowd. Texas has strong fan base who will travel. More Texas fans will pay prem. prices since they are going for NC for first time in long time.

WOW! Can you read? That article says, and I QUOTE,

"The home state fan advantage ratio for the games is as follows:

Rose Bowl: 1 to 1, USC (CA) with a slight edge over Texas
Fiesta Bowl: 2 to 1, in favor of Ohio State over Notre Dame"

That means: more OSU fans LIVE IN ARIZONA, at a 2-1 ratio, than ND fans!!! Where does that say tickets are selling at a 2-1 rate in favor of OSU??

WTF??? Nice evidence. You just made a complete idiot of yourself. :mj07:

Does every post have to be about SC scott?
Its like the bat signal, someone types USC into a post and you are alerted somehow.
All in good fun though scott
