........................................................

Yeh picking the tap water with my rules would be
the only way I would do it.

And Happy would not wear the sig line I pick.

Agent would have to wear it for 30 days.

You guys might conspire against me though.

:mj07: :mj07:

Oh no...I might be more obliged to lose, depending on the signature line you give him...

Est in aqua dulci non invidiosa voluptas

I grew up around those organic munching folks and farmers. Organic food tastes better mainly due to the different varieties used, different harvesting, handling and butchering.

Though a lot is in the mind. I remember some blind taste tests done a while back by Consumer Reports that showed folks can't tell the difference in most foods. And the blind taste tests they do on water usually puts NY City tap water at the top!

Organic produce isn't pesticide free, it's free of synthetic pesticide. It can have legally have lots of rotenone, pyrethrins, copper sulphate and other such "organic" pesticides all over your "organic" produce.

Over 90% of pesticides you ingest are natural, and your body can't tell the difference between natural and synthetic toxins. Reducing intake of synthetic toxins will not make an even trivial difference in how hard your body works to clean out toxins.

That cyanide compound in apple seeds can make you very sick, even kill you. Those green spots on potatos represent a concetration of the poison solanine, and you should cut them out. Some goverments advocate eating less potatoes when pregnant.

We co-evolved with many of these toxins for millions of years, and cancer-causing natural things like the sun--and it sure ain't helped us!

I know few toxicologist that waste money on "organic" food. They know there are far more important things to do. Fine paper here on it by some top toxicologists dispelling these pesticide fictions (warning pdf). The lead author runs the The Carcinogenic Potency Database at Berkeley.

Exactly how did you come to this ridiculous conclusion. Your own statement says there are no chemicals used. That isn't enough right there?

You are in the health field, aren't you? You would think you would know a little more about this type thing.

The difference is like night and day.

Start with organic sodas. I haven't had a 'regular' soda since Feb 4th. And I used to drink 3-6 Diet Cokes a day. Organic sodas lack High fructose corn syrup. The nastiest processed shit there is, and your body cannot process it. Plus no sugar highs and lows.

Try one, you will like it!

well, really never thought about it too much. You see, I'm really skeptical of anything that costs more because it's 'better' for you. I almost exclusively buy generic instead of brand if I have a choice, or Walmart/Sams Club brand rather than the well known, commercialized name.

You mentioned healthcare; there are new Tylenol commercials out now that extol the virtues of Tylenol and how much better it is than the generics because the people who work there care so much about your health. :mj07:

What do you proponents suggest I try first? I'll pick something up organic and give it a go. I'm not above changing my opinions.

No offense, but drinking sodas, whether organic or not, does not make any sense to me for someone who is apparently interested in maintaining their health. Try substituting a cold glass of water each time you have that urge, and your body will thank you down the line.

I drink a large amount of water. Do you know what's in an organic soda?

I drink a large amount of water.

I am not saying you don't. Rather, I 'm saying if you are health-conscious, you may want to consider substituting water for soda-- conventional or organic.

Do you know what's in an organic soda?

Sure I do. Let's see... empty calories and high sugar content, but at least its all natural.
