as bettors, we're quick to vent about lottery teams cashing it in and putting forth pathetic, unprofessional efforts down the stretch.

but orlando deserves credit because they are really playing hard in march and april.

and dont look now, but the magic are actually bringing darko along at a very nice pace and he could really blossom in orlando. with a good draft pick, this team could really turn the corner in a hurry next year.

g man, agree totally. I believe Boston is in this category also. They have been busting their ass, now Wally gone for season.

atlanta fits here too. They've been playing great team b-ball of late & I look for them to destroy Minnesota on Sunday. For those that don't know, Minnesota is limiting Garnett & Ricky Davis to 20-25 minutes a game from here on out. Garnett sat the entire 2nd & 4th quarters yesterday & Davis said something along the lines that he was in Minny to win and the situation was b.s. (even though they are totally out of it).

silly me. i thought an nba-related post that has to do with late-season capping (which can be very tough from night to night) might belong in the nba forum. god forbid this post actually serves a purpose and reminds cappers that a certain team IS worth betting on down the stretch because they haven't packed it in like some other teams. lets use some common sense please. it clearly pertains to handicapping.

the thread has also had a solid contribution from amich, who has mentioned another team that is worth putting money behind late in the season -- as well as one that is not.

i agree. moving comments like these helps encourage people to post picks without reason. i'd would like to see more general strategy discussion, and as gman says, it is appropriate. reading intelligent commentary is more helpful than picks from those who can't beat a coinflip.

why so bitter about everything, gman? a mod made a decision to move a post that is borderline fan post and handicapping post.

lighten up, life is short.

and i heard it was moved before amich posted.

what's the big deal? do you want me to move it back. would that make you happy today?

geez

jack:

i couldnt care less where the post ends up.
certainly wont impact my day.
but it is quite funny that two threads,
(one about julius hodge getting shot, the other having the title of "brad miller -- you fu.ckin piece of shit") have more capping relevance than one about the way orlando is showing some grit and playing tough down the stretch of the season.
a huge deal? nah.
but funny nonetheless.
have a good one.
just have the mods use some common sense, especially when some of the other stuff remains.

i think thats prob what surprised me. im in the nba forum about as frequently as you are (not too often). so when i did make a contribution, it found its way elsewhere. no need to apologize. i know that by and large, you guys are looking out for the best.

You have to give that little half pint coaching the Rockets some credit too. They play tough for all they have gone through this season. Think they can do much better than Mc black hole to lead that team.

I'm a big Magic fan, but keep in mind they still had a chance at making the playoffs. Don't you think that was a major factor in this win streak? Crazier things have happened then if the Magic made the playoffs.
