OTTAWA SUN: Bruce Garrioch reports Senators GM John Muckler hasn't been happy with the inconsistent performance of his club this season, particularly in recent losses to the Montreal Canadiens and Buffalo Sabres. Garrioch suggests it wouldn't be surprising if Muckler pulls off a trade to shake up his roster. One candidate to be dealt could be forward Petr Schastlivy, who hasn't played up to expectations. Garrioch claims the NY Islanders have long coveted Schastlivy, but his $650K might be too much. Still, they could offer up Mark Parrish and his $2.35 million salary, although the Sens are deep on right wing already. Garrioch considers Radek Bonk "the most marketable" with only 3 of his 17 points coming at even strength, and believes "several clubs including the Phoenix Coyotes" would be interested.

stomie - I know Bruce quite well and he has been rumouring Bonk to Phoenix for Shane Doan for the last 3 years now. He must have written it a dozen times a year in his column and I am not exagerrating. Prusek and Schatslivy will both be traded before in the next few months. Vermette has taken Schats place in the line-up and he only a rookie. I will have info to post on Thursday. As well, I know for a fact that Schatchard(spelling) and Isbister were to be dealt on a Friday night for Bonk and Arvedson last year in November but was pulled off the table at the last minute by NYI. I remember posting it here at MJ's.
