OTTAWA SUN: Bruce Garrioch reports Senators GM John Muckler hasn't been happy with the inconsistent performance of his club this season, particularly in recent losses to the Montreal Canadiens and Buffalo Sabres. Garrioch suggests it wouldn't be surprising if Muckler pulls off a trade to shake up his roster. One candidate to be dealt could be forward Petr Schastlivy, who hasn't played up to expectations. Garrioch claims the NY Islanders have long coveted Schastlivy, but his $650K might be too much. Still, they could offer up Mark Parrish and his $2.35 million salary, although the Sens are deep on right wing already. Garrioch considers Radek Bonk "the most marketable" with only 3 of his 17 points coming at even strength, and believes "several clubs including the Phoenix Coyotes" would be interested.
