Last night went to early dinner with 2 other couples to try the Kimball House here in Decatur. Had 10 different types and had no idea there was so much difference between them. Absolutely a great experience, and we will definitely be back. We met early for happy hour (5-7pm) because 1/2 off, and even then, they were 1.50-1.75 each.

Anybody else like them and have a place like this near you? Great old school cocktails and I think 20 different types of Absinthe. Crazy.

Raw with hot sauce is the way to go.....Oysters are like Micro Brews in Maine.....So many small sea farmers on the market, all with different ideas and tastes.....:0008

For 70 bucks that gets added to Memorial Day cookout here. :0074

And 4th of July at my sister's.

I like them raw with cocktail sauce but the Drago way is the best way, they melt in your mouth. Incredible!

The standard ingredients (in roughly decreasing proportion) are ketchup, horseradish, hot sauce (Tabasco, Louisiana, or Crystal), Worcestershire sauce, and lemon juice.

Why?

ps.............I add extra Horse sauce because I like the bite.

Thanks for the recipe, never would have known....:0008

horseradish

1 large horseradish root
white vinegar, enough to cover
2 teaspoons white sugar

http://www.food.com/recipe/horseradish-11125[h=2]Directions:[/h]

  1. Grate horseradish, cover with white vinegar, add a little sugar, store in glass jars in'fridge.

  2. I made this about six months ago, and it is still very good and strong.

  3. When adding the vinegar to the grated horseradish, be careful of the pungent fumes, open a window!
