Hey!
No bias here either . . .
Harris, Williams, Woodson could (could!) have great years with safeties Bigsby and Collins pushed hard by their back ups and the new 3-4 might lead to an increased tendency to blitz and an improvement in GB's excellent record of holding opposing QBs to a 72 rating--league's fourth best.
Lee and Blackmon are more than capable back ups and maybe Harris' and Woodson's old bodies can stay fit for another 20 games or so. Brandon Underwood could be a fast-learning rookie. (The Bearcats played a 3-4 more or less, right?) Underwood's still trying to heal a weight room injury and could end up on the short end of late cuts.
Might Woodson end up a safety cuz he's slowed? Not sure. Could Tramon Wilson need to cover for Harris' decreased speed. Or . . . could Harris' experience show big in the 3-4 where he might have more time to read QBs and get some picks.
Jarrett Bush is ready--I think--to play CB or S but he needs a pretty good training camp to move up on the depth charts.
Best receiving corps in the league!! Again, no possible bias behind this call.
Raji? C'mon ,you dick, forget about watching Crabtree and sign the deal. Prove you belong and get a wheel barrow full of cash later.
Evan Moore needs a good finger splint, a great attitude and he could get some playing time this year instead of sitting and watching without buying a ticket.
Ryan Pickett's too fat. NT in the 3-4 has to be more agile and he needs to drop 10 pounds or more.
Pickett needs to show the same dedication that DE Justin Harrell did in dropping 10-12 pounds of fat off season and coming to camp solid. Obviously, another key position in the new defensive alignment. Or any defensive allignment
We lost Aaron Humphrey--TE--with a cracked forearm, today. Depth is there but . . .
Ryan Grant! Maybe 1000, maybe 1500 yards. Or maybe the OL doesn't open any holes at all and the Pack becomes one dimensional again carried on Rodgers' back. Not a good scenario, if you ask me.
Deshawn Wynn (who?) the former Florida star seems to have seen the light and came to camp under 230 with the winning attitude very much missing in his first couple injury-prone years. In a few months we might be saying, "Ryan Who?" Or maybe Wynn reverts to his post-Gators suckitude and Brandon Jackson stays the solid #2 back. The OL, I think will be much improved this year and the Pack will average 28+points/game. (26 average last year was not too shabby with a brand new QB and injuries galore.)
If the defense gives up that same 28, it will be a long year, though. 10 starters return, but . . . they're returning from a defense responsible for most of GB's losses. New coaches, new D scheme and more wins. Kampman will adjust and absolutely kill in this new defense. This is Desmond Bishop's year!
Walker, Jennings, Driver and more. Love 'em.
In summary, a great new pass rush and a solid set of DBs reverse the 6-10 to 10-6. The offense gets even better as Rodgers show more toughness and leadership and the Pack has the best set of RBs in a lot of years.
I want my jock strap prize!! (Medium)
