the original 5 Hour Energy
I worked at High Rock Ginger Ale Company from 1965 till the end of my second year of college loading the 18 trucks 5 nights a week..90 cent a hour first year there..hard work..I mean the real deal hard..
We were bought out by PepsiCo and they ordered Mountain Dew distributed off our Co. trucks.
Well we also made drinks there...Dr. Pepper and Mountain Dew...Lotta Cola..strawberry..grape..tonic water..gingerale of course
I had the chance to help the mixologist on several occasions make Dew..
The sugar we poured for each batch to be run was enough to make ya swear off soda's forever.
But we didn't..suck them bad boys down
trucks were unloaded with the empties outside on the walk and reloaded off the conveyor belt inside..slick rails held the cases and overage was stacked on top.
average about 800 cases per truck back then..
as I recall..average case was about 30 lbs..Quarts and 160z. were a mother trucker
cleared about 18-20 bucks a week..
styling..smiling and profiling
