passport question....

my passport is expiring in oct....

does anybody know if i can renew it now ?...

& where do i go to renew it...& how long does it take to get the new passport back ?

It's very easy. I just did it for my boss, and I am getting ready to do mine. About 1.5 pages to fill in with basic info, send with check, old passport and two new passport photos. They send it back within a month I think unless you get it expedited for the extra fee - then you get it back in about 10 days or less...

if you belong to triple A, you can get your passport photos taken free of charge. your local post office also has the applications and will take your checks and send in for process. they are also helpful if you have any questions.

Agree with what HH said. Unless you are in a rush, don't pay the extra $ to have it expedited. It gets done quickly enough. Get the application online and ensure you have all the info, go to the post office and it doesn't take long at all.

Just heard today...

A new passport is going to be coming out.

It will be for travel to Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean.

It will be the size of a credit card and will be cheaper than a regular passport.

Sounds great....can't wait to hear when it actually comes out.

just got my passport back...

sent it certified & received it priority mail....took 17days...not bad..
