this guy is a major league a-hole. i'm conservative with most things, but the republican party needs to distance themselves from asswipes like him.

Robertson says Sharon's stroke is God's punishment

The Reverend Pat Robertson says Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's massive stroke could be God's punishment for giving up Israeli territory.

The founder of the Christian Broadcasting Network told viewers of "The 700 Club" that Sharon was "dividing God's land," even though the Bible says doing so invites "God's enmity."

Robertson added, "I would say woe to any prime minister of Israel who takes a similar course."

He noted that former Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated.

Robertson said God's message is, "This land belongs to me. You'd better leave it alone."

Yeh Robertson said he is being punished for splitting Isreal as its in the bible God said not to.

Talk about taking something out of context and applying it to how Robertson believes.

I am thinking he is off his rockers.

it IS noteworthy, however, how the leftist media goes way out of their way to portray all Christians in a bad light while using a senile old man to do so

Why don't they start following Benny Hinn around next?

Somewhere in the middle. I just looked and according to Nielson the 700 Club averages 900,000 viewers a night. Those people can be assumed to be followers and i'm sure there are plenty of other followers that aren't counted in there. So maybe not millions, but definitely not 'few.' CNN averages about 700,000 viewers in prime time, as a reference.

To say few people watch the 700 Club is crazy-talk. I really don't even consider tele-evangelists Christian. They just use Christianity as a marketing tool.

I can only imagine if I worked with a 700 club follower, and he/she came in to work today spouting some of his lunacy.

F 9/11 grossed $119,194,771 according to IMDB. Not sure about video/dvd/ppv sales, though.
