Sponsors would leave and never come back if nascar suspended their drivers. I think this sends a pretty good message if they stick to it and are consistant. Time will tell

Just suspend the whole team for one race that might help. Then you have teams that need a week off to recoup. I don't know.

with all due respect..

you will never convince me that if Dale Earnhardt Jr was suspended for his team having been caught cheating that Budweiser would pull their sponsorship .Certainly that good olde boy persona he projects sells a six pack or two but that Tin Can running around that track sells more beer in a nano second than Dale can sell in 5 lifetimes..Take him out of that car and in 2 years he will be a distant memory and the driver behind the wheel of that Tin Can will be the next hero of the Bud worshipers.
Am I supposed to believe that David Gilliland is selling M&M's or Ricky Rudd is selling Snicker bars..With 3 wins in 7 years he[Rudd] can't be selling much of anything and should have been put out to pasture a long time ago.
There are so many young drivers now making an instant impact on the scene it is scarey..This isn't the good olde boy network anymore where the young buck had to wait forever for a good ride in Nascar..If you can race with the big boys now the big $$$$$$$$$ will get you in a car.

Just occurred to me..If NASCAR is building every year with an eye to future fans wouldn't it stand to reason that Brand X would not like their products associated with cheaters.Furthermore would also stand to reason that if the fan base is coming from toddlers on into the young adults there is a certain amount of morals that come with attracting this new fan.I hardly think sponsors want the fathers and grandfathers of these new potential fans explaining that the reason you don't see the M&M car in the race today is because HIS TEAM CHEATS.

The Johnson crew chief suspension last season couldn't have meant a ding dong thing given the way the racing season has started out.

Get their damn attention:

Come out of the DARK AGES:

Suspend the drivers..then Nascar makes their point and only then..

"It's only cheating if you get caught".
Every time one of these motorheads in the neighborhood tells me that I look at him and look at his kids and I go:mj07: Yep I guess your right:scared
