I've watched a lot of hockey in my life and can say I don't think I have ever seen a series more tightly contested than that one. 5 one goal games and in each of them you could make an argument that either team was the better team and deserved to win the game.
Pens outscore Caps 16-15 in the series, that is just sick and shows how close it really was.
Could have been 4-0 sweep by the Caps as easy as a 4-2 win by the Pens. Unreal the quality of hockey played in that series. The NHL gotta figure this out, no way that is a second round matchup.
:sadwave:
Isn't that how the series usually winds up between these 2 teams?

In the Year By Year table take a look at the column to the far right and see how many end with 'Lost to Pittsburgh Penguins'. Pens absolutely own the Caps especially in the post-season.
About the only NHL I follow is none but if the Caps are in the playoffs I take a little notice and had a feeling that the Pens usually come out on top.
Thanks
Oh, I misread your post, was thinking you were saying the Caps usually come out ahead.
