I think Pete Carroll is one hell of a football coach. Undoubtedly, he will be criticized endlessly for that game swinging call, I'd like to know how all that went down. I don't believe he calls the offense of plays for Seattle, although I'm not sure. I think the offensive coordinator calls plays, that said, he has the headphones on, I wonder if he thought of overruling that call, or if Russell has the ability or flexibility to audible out of that play. Exploiting the patriots, Kyle Arrington with Chris Matthews was brilliant game calling. Matthews didn't have a single catch the entire season, and Caroll brilliantly exposed that mismatch. Russell only completed 12 passes the entire game, but Matthews was the key in keeping Seattle in the game and then propelling them to a 10 point fourth-quarter lead. Lynch was his usual dominating self, and Kearse had that one circus catch, but that one mismatch of Matthews on Arrington was very good game planning. Conversely, Bill Belichick finally removing Arrington, and putting the 6 foot four, Brandon Browner on Matthews, and replacing Arrington with a undrafted reserve rookie Malcolm Butler proved the difference.
