Pete Carroll definitely deserved better

I think Pete Carroll is one hell of a football coach. Undoubtedly, he will be criticized endlessly for that game swinging call, I'd like to know how all that went down. I don't believe he calls the offense of plays for Seattle, although I'm not sure. I think the offensive coordinator calls plays, that said, he has the headphones on, I wonder if he thought of overruling that call, or if Russell has the ability or flexibility to audible out of that play. Exploiting the patriots, Kyle Arrington with Chris Matthews was brilliant game calling. Matthews didn't have a single catch the entire season, and Caroll brilliantly exposed that mismatch. Russell only completed 12 passes the entire game, but Matthews was the key in keeping Seattle in the game and then propelling them to a 10 point fourth-quarter lead. Lynch was his usual dominating self, and Kearse had that one circus catch, but that one mismatch of Matthews on Arrington was very good game planning. Conversely, Bill Belichick finally removing Arrington, and putting the 6 foot four, Brandon Browner on Matthews, and replacing Arrington with a undrafted reserve rookie Malcolm Butler proved the difference.

of Pete to let Mike McCarthy call the play....:142smilie

I don't see what's funny about that? How could McCarthy make the call? Carroll's Seahawks shouldn't have even been in the Super Bowl. Many miracle plays had to take place for Seattle to beat GB. It was some kind of weird justice for Seattle to lose in the SB.

That was the theme for every NFC winner. Lions beat the Cowboys, Cowboys beat the Packers, Packers beat the Seahawks, Seahawks beat the Patriots.

Maddening playoff results.

How can you say he deserved better?

He is a piece of shit. He was a lying cheat at the University of Spoilt Children and a real count when he was at the Jets. Anyone else remember the Pete Stoyanovich gesture?

Pure, unadulterated cunt.

Just how does he deserve better?

, you don't think he turned that franchise around? What about game planning. Matthews, a guy with not a single catch to any MVP candidate? Not for nothing, but did he take your lunch money?
He took the blame, which is more than 90% of coaches would do, and I would bet the OC made that call.

If you push the blame onto someone else you can get a job some where else because there are so many "out of town stupid" people in the NFL.

That's how Marc Trestman ended up with the Browns. He pushed all the blame onto Cutler for the offense.

If you look at Trestman historically in the NFL his offense always declines hard the 2nd year into the system.

Browns were out of town stupid, only looked at his 1st years with the Bears and hired him. Sorry Browns fans

BTW if you blame him 100% for the bad call at end give him credit for crazy call at end of first half worth 4 points. Guys a great coach and "left" USC stranded after 7 best years in thier history. 28 other NFL teams would take him a second.

Where it is real F ing COLD
He learned from one of the best. Do not like the USC thingy but he is one hell of a coach, saying that he made the biggest coaching blunder to end a game in history of football.

If this would have been the Vikings:mj07: and they in same situation and they get picked throwing to Jarius Wright with Peterson in backfield, I would still be drinking today and mumbling. I don't think I would watch football again. At least Seattle won last year, had they not have won before it would be twice as devastating.
