With Saratoga going on - I was surprised to get the visitors yesterday; sooo surprised that I'm gonna post some more Philly dirt bombs today :)

The kudos are appreciated ESP. considering that I posted a losing sheet if anybody played all the picks.. Looks like some viewers liked the word "VALUE" and just played thot one - that woulda been nice. I was hoping that somebody whose been reading my stuff all along realized how much I liked the no. 6 hoss in the 8th and knew about the ole "magic" 6-2/2-6 zacta combo that I've written about several times in the forum.

Let's get to today...

Not a good card at all - turf ain't my forte' and neither are maidens. Did come up with some plays though:

4th race
Gotta spread around some plays for this race; sorry bout that. The attractive payouts at this twack warrants doing that sooo.... the plays are -
4,10 top/bot (zacks) w. 3,8. Still, only $16 for 2 dollar tickets on each combo. Bah, bah , BUT, ya gotta also play, to win, only - nos. 7 and 9. Some players (smart ones) just like to play one or maybe two horses STRAIGHT (just to Win or W/P or W/Pl/Sh). If so, my advice would be to pick one or two of the OUTSIDE hosses in this race (7, 8, 9, 10). Each should be good odds. I know it LOOKS contradictory that I got a 3-4 zacta box in my zotic bets; it's a long story how I bet races like this. Mostly it's cause the 7 and 9 got a real outside chance to just win it all in this race or - do nothing at all. If you betem right and one of those win - this race will be profitable despite the losing exacta bets. Hitting any exacta ticket should be even more profitable.

7th race
No. 8, Beaureal to Win/Place. THAT'S IT.

I believe the 8th race is either gonna be the no. 2, How Far We've Come, going wire to wire .. or.. no. 3, Tyranna, mowing all their asses down in the stretch run. Both are good odds too. Problem is that this race is pretty much UNplayable.
I'll see if I'm ahead enough to call it a day before thinking about playing the 8th. If I do play the 8th or 9th, I'll post it if there's some action around here.

G.L.

GL Jim,

Thanks for your write-ups, appreciate your insights. Hopefully, Popsicle Toes runs well in the opener. Maybe back with a Del Mar selection(s).

Koz gl in your SPA contest.

Where we're at now

Where we're at now

Hope you backed Popsicle up, excellent prices for the Place and Show. You know, Philly style prices. Liked the pick also but passed the race up.

Now, here's a little quiz for interested hoss players -

- 10 hoss field, not 12
- favorite runs first at 2-1
- second choice runs 2nd @ 5/2 :(
- ya wait to see what the zacta paid

Now, what do ya think it should pay?

Ain't gonna ruin this by posting it; I'm sure interested players will look it up though. (Hey, ya gotta do something! LOL). If ya want, you can post the payoff, doesn't matter to me now.

Two for two so far today. :11jackson

Looks like Hamste is still online; I'll post something IF i SEE ANYTHING GOOD in the 9th. If not.. good luck, Y'awl.

Wrap up

Wrap up

All look pretty UNinterested in running today, cept maybe the nos. 1 and 2.

Think I'll keep it very nice day and just hit the road just a little heavier than I started the day off.

G.L. SPAing or ballin, whatever sport you play. If ya heading to Saratoga, DO remember to PHIL up yer gas tank before ya make that trip there. :)
