Philly for Monday

May take a break from posting; not too much going on around here and today is Monday which is slower than most days. But after seeing one play, in particular, today - I do want to get this one down for the MAD racetrackJACKS.


5th race

Not a cinch - but the no. 5 hoss, Untuttable Jet (3-1 M.L.) comes up awfully strong according to the way I figure em. Exactas could come in handy on the side just in case he finishes second (exactas almost ALWAYS get played TOP and BOTTOM) and I have two checked off for that kinda play... nos. 2 and 3 (with the no. 5, of course).

He opened (first click on the odds board) at 1-5. Musta been the bet I put in last night ... cause I REALLY sent it in on this one alright. Added some icing to the cake with 5 OVER 1,3,6 in the zactas with $10 tickets. My Win/Place bets were 3 figures and I ain't a big bettor, but this horse layed all over this field. I was wrong about this last part though cause that no. 3 made it close. Man, if that no. 6 (25 to 1) coulda got 2nd.... .. zacta was $60+. What a payday that woulda been. Still, cleared enough for the day alright. And then some.

Not sure I'll play anything else cause I don't like giving decent winnings back and I DO like ending a day with a play like that one.

Here's what I got written down for the 8th, Lucky.....

zactas TOP/BOT .. 2,4 with 5,7

10th looks interesting, didn't figure them though. I'll have to see what they LOOK like and then decide if I gotto go back to 2 stinkin dollar mode and play something. .

Great to see a LUCKY MJer cash in. Here's something you may not know..... in addition to the horse, jockey, trainer... . cap the OWNERS also. Here's a start... put the owner of the "Jet" hoss on your "A team" list. That outfit's been on my list for quite awhile now.

Anybody remember my "HOT TIP" the other week? LOL

Well he scratched that day. I saw him in the entries today and looked him over real close like. I also noted that the STEWARDS scratched him in that race last week and that ain't a good thing. I decided to stick with .. "no more plays for me for today" and passed the race.

Well, MEMO ME almost won the just completed 8th race and the ass burner for today was that I did like the horse that won the 8th. Memo went off at 30-1. Yeah, the exacta paid pretty dang good.

While I'm here... just went over the 10th race(REAL close like, of course LOL) and it's a WIDE OPEN affair. What a place this track is.... they can just barely manage to come up with 6 horse fields in almost every race and then a race like the 10th pops up with 11 starters. And it's a very competitive race too. Sheesh go figure.

Don't know a thing about these 9th race hosses, and the no. 2 is odds on and prob. moiders da bums. But, the no. 3 looks the part, I got 2 stinkin bucks in my hands and I think I'll put it on numero. 3.

Sure glad you stopped in here.. I was hearing an echo in here while I was posting and then I saw why.... I was the only MadJacker in the dang place. Not gonna post for visitors cause I don't even know their names.

That was some 9th race. They put up that big favorite.. now lets see if they take the bastage DOWN.

edited - Nope, they left my no. 3 second. He ran some race though and almost pulled it off. I only had him to win for kicks. Getting ready for that 10th.

Well, I wouldn't take anybody off the 1,2, or 10 so far.

This is the kinda race you gotta read the horses.. not the pps.

NOBODY"s gonna believe what I wound up doing for that race... not that it matters. HATE to tellyas that I had written down --> 1,2 w 3,9,10,11 (always TOP/BOT in zactas). And I did want to play the 1,2,10 W/Pl too. Thought it would cost too much so what do I do..??? .. YEAH, cross out the freakin no. 3 in the zactas. UGH. Just collected on the no. 1 place (3 stinkin dollar tickets). SONamabeech!!!

Here's the part that might be of more interest to yas though - IMO, always give that newbie jockey, Kyle Frey a look. He's hungry AND good.

I think tomorrow is looking pretty good. Prob. skip Wed.

Tomorrow is TUES. and that has been the bestest day for me in the past - maybe we can come up with one of them Philly specials. I believe the card looks decent for tomorrow.
