Looks like other posters stop posting after I start posting and we wind up with this "room" with only a long list of my posts. Looks terrible and I don't want to "hog up" this place with all the "blah, blah, blah". Despite the efforts of Hamster AND a few others, there's always been almost nil communication in this "At The Track" forum, I'll be terminating my posts real soon like I did months ago. Also, like months ago.. I will stop in again in a few months or so to see if MAYBE some new people joined in the communication. I know that won't happen though.

While I'm still in a posting mood, I'm gonna just add to my single thread each day I post something. No mo long list of "Jimboski's". My gut feeling is that the Visitors/Peepers (are there 2 "P's" in PEEPERS ? ) who come in this thread aren't even hoss players; thinking they just like to read 'fun" stuff, I dunno. :mj03:

Mo impotent stuff

I keep records of EVERY step of how i handicapped a wace and all the resulting payoffs for every race I play. There's quite a few steps i take using a calculator and it's all written down how each resulting factor was calculated. It's almost like a full time job but it does payoff in either cutting my losses or increasing my bankaroo. Lately, my figures are working really good, nailing the race wiener with it's top rated hoss and when it doesn't, often enough, the second rated hoss wins. I gotta think about changing bets from $20 to $30 (that is plenty of $1 or $2 tickets) exotic betting to $20 to $40 Win or Win/place bets. I definitely won't be changing anything for races that I determine are for TRIFECTA betting; Philly produces some "humungest" payoffs for many of those and I've been lucky enough to hit more than my share. You don't need to hit those often to give the ole bankaroo a healthy vitamin shot in the ass that lasts a long time.

Lastly, got a look at Monday's card and found playable waces. Soooo lets give it a go and see if we/me can GIT SOME OF THOSE PHILLY GREENBACKS today :)

got 3 done

got 3 done

Race 3 : Coming up with the top 2 favorites wasn't what I was looking for.. figures say it's gonna be no. 2 or 4. It's a tossup - No. 4 got the nod with the figures and has Paco, but 44 days off and not a good workout in sight ain't a good sign. No. 2 has no downside and just may get scratched since this one ran only 7 days ago. That makes no. 4 the play and also reduces it's odds. Sheet ! If this is the case, there's 2 that could produce a decent exacta payoff with the no. 4 BUT I gotta see what they look like first. I won't be posting either one to non-members.

Race 7 : Better priced plicks for this one :0064 , Nos. 3 and 6 are keys. You know what goes with these two nos. when it comes to trifectas, Hammy. :)

Right on...

Right on...

Wake Up horse was my personal choice when I got my first glance at the 7th. That one had a really nice series of races awhile back and shows signs that it's form may be returning.

I'll check out the 8th later today; got an appointment this afternoon and will have to watch the replay of the 3rd.

Good Luck today, Hammy.

There ya go....

There ya go....

Just got back and watched the 3rd race replay.

Only four words for the 3rd race - son-ah-ma-BITCH!

Happens once in awhile, dang nos. are on the same dang side of my equation. That is... play was exactas 4,5 top/bot 2,7. Side bets been doing what thems sposeta do... insurance or make results even mo profitable. Went kinda heavy on WIN bets on nos. 2 and 4 and half of the exacta bets were for $2 and other half was for ONE STINKIN DOLLAR tickets so the cost of the exacta was small. The gererous, $6.20 win payoff was a big help. The betting system/operation is working just fine.

Actually came out with enough profit to get a few bags of munchies and plan to watch some more exciting Phllly Style HOSS WACIN.:popcorn2 .

Good luck with the 7th git onboard while I'm still here, Visitors and Peepers :)

EDITING: just notice a couple of LOOOKERS in this 5th race, nos. 1 and 2. May not bet this race, still thinking about losing $ STINKIN dollars, and the guy who is working on making Philly an UNprofitable twack for us is on the favorite, no. 7. May change my mind though. BTW neither of theLOOKERS look GREAT, no. 1 looks a little better than no. 2.

EDIT 2: YEAH, i went ahead and bet ($2) on them, NO biggie. You know who won that race, right? Gotta get that hombre the hell outta here.

PHIT UGH ----> an arrow to the heart :(

PHIT UGH ----> an arrow to the heart :(

Went overboard on that race too. Gonna cash a place bet on no. 7 but that's only a small bandage to a bigger wound.

Poo Poo can happen at any time as we all know.

Good news is that the 9th race looks promising, I'm almost done capping it. JUMP IN HERE IF YOU WANT ME TO POST IT, HAMMY

Coulda/Shoulda done better

Coulda/Shoulda done better

They sure as hell bet the crap outta no. 8, Germaniac, didn't they? Went off down to 9/5, Grr. GOOD THING little Yimmy hung on (that's what my Spanish friends call me). That is.. YIMMY, not "little". :00x14

Ok, just add up the bets and subtract it from $95.40 and the hell with the bank, we'll use it for Lucky Tuesday :) Tuesdays at Philly used to be VERY lucky for me.

Hit Minny pretty good last night with them NFLers on a 2nd half bet. Man, did Green Bay look terrible in the 1st half. Went for my biggest footsbawl bet so far for this year. How bout how bad Green Bay looks this year? Rodgers had a VERY bad looking sour look on his face from the start of the game to the end, something up with him.

Lucky Tue$Day at Philly Wace Twack

Lucky Tue$Day at Philly Wace Twack

Methinks it's gonna take some LUCK today to leave Philly a Wiener and quite often it's L@@KERS save these kinda days. Even if every member of MJs place stops in to visit this thread, i think next week will be the last week I'll be posting for quite some time. Posting L@@KERs is tough for the one or many VISITORS that come here and especially tough for me to do cause I gotta betem AFTER I see-em and there were times I gots carried away posting and missed getting MY bets in. :(

BTW, I was watching the first race while posting this and there are no L@@KERs. BUT, that Jim the Beast hoss was close to being one, no. 7 noss. HIMM... JIM, tha Beast ... Ah HUG. TWO STINKIN BUCK ON THAT ONE :)

:00011 .... i'LL BE RIGHT BACK....

Dart/name thingy ain't working today SO FAR

Dart/name thingy ain't working today SO FAR

Here's a PLAYABLE that I DID do the thorough handicapping steps on. Let's see what happens this time....

3nd race: trying Exactas for race - 5,8 top/bot 1,4 and for folks like Hamster who go along with the "side bets" idea - 5 and 8 to win, only.

Jimbo,

It would be nice to record the paddock and post parade of some of these races and have you critique what you consider a L@@KER. It's the experience of many years of watching and I am one to learn to add to my arsenal of handicapping.

GL today, busy morning and didn't have time to look at the DRF.

Jimbo,
Race 3nd only has seven runners, hopefully you meant the 2nd. If you did, BOOM and good for you Jimbo.

NOT TOO SHABBY :)

NOT TOO SHABBY :)

You know, I ALMOST added that 52/1 shot no. 6, to the right side of that exacta. Thought about it and just couldn't do it with that jockey/trainer combo even for ONE STINKIN buck. OH MAN, sooo close to nailing that Philly BOMBER zacta:facepalm:

NIce payoff on the winning side bet got me the bets $ back AND enough left over to make the play worthwhile.

Check it out, Peepers.

Next PLAYABLE is the 6th and, before I can post it, I gotta redo some figuring cause it got taken off the grass. That'
s a GOOD thing, too.

Jimbo,
Race 3nd only has seven runners, hopefully you meant the 2nd. If you did, BOOM and good for you Jimbo.

Let's see... I DIDN'T bet the 2nd race; I DID bet the 3rd and lost the exactas and the side bet winner made the payback worthwhile. Sometimes I post BEFORE seeing the sqwatches maybe that caused the confusion. AND sometimes I have to rush and that causes a mess with my posting :(

While I'm here... re-did the 6th and I'll be buying A LOT of small tickets for this race. Not even gonna try to post exactly what I'll be on so the Peepers will just have to take my word for it if I come back and tellyas I LOST. ;)

If this helps... Here's the top 4 hosses I'll be using somehow 2,4,10,12 (I don't know EXACTLY how I'm gonna use these and what order those will be in, gotta see them first).

EDITING (5 mins. later): Today is looking more and more like a LOSAH. UNfamiliar hosses, too many maiden waces, posible playables are clones, etc. This 6th race follow along.. . that is, no. 4 is MY and my figures top plick at 8/1 M.L. and sho enough.. . the bettors got it down to 5/2 now. This ain't good.

EDITED 5 mins. later: See the paddock stuff? No. 12 has my high rating and lt looks like that one will be flying out of the gate. Gotta use it but I think somebody is going to mow his ass down in the stretch.

Sorry I didn't see this, Hammy

Sorry I didn't see this, Hammy

Jimbo,

It would be nice to record the paddock and post parade of some of these races and have you critique what you consider a L@@KER. It's the experience of many years of watching and I am one to learn to add to my arsenal of handicapping.

GL today, busy morning and didn't have time to look at the DRF.

L@@KERs are really hard to explain cause it's the COMBINATION OF THINGS I notice and sometimes it's just a feeling i get when I see them and really not sure exactly the things I noticed. More like a feeling and not something that you can be explicit about. On top of that... you can VERY EASILY mistaken a hoss that is angry or in distress for a LOOKER and that one will burn out early in a race.

BTW, I lost that 6th race and the frustrating part was that there no. 11 was on my LOOKERs LIst. BUT, there were 4 others too, UGH! Worser, a couple of my high rated horses were NOT. Bottom line was that you can't play them all.

Here's the only things I think of that might help that you never realized before....

Notice how TIGHT the reins are in the post parade, deadheads have loose reins.
Ears are important you want them as straight UP as possible. Head should be up more than down.
Check out the tail.. just hanging straight down, close to the horse's crotch is a DEADbeat and held AWAY from it's body is a GOOD thing. IT's the combination of these and others that's hard to be explicit about cause it's more about a feeling and not exactly what you see. .

There are other things that just go along with the above that generates a good feeling about the horse.

EASY method, ANYBODY can find DEADbeats... and just eliminating them should really help.

edited: forgot to add that it gets more complicated too... the distance of the race, post pos., and KNOWING something about that horse has to match what you see. IT AIN"T easy.

Got money to throw away?

Got money to throw away?

Ok here's a fun thing to do... since Hamster is interested in L@@KERs and it probable that the ONLY way you're gonna beat this race is without using any of the limited data.... is with LOOKERs. Relying on L@@KERS only, is a good was to lose your bankaroo UNLESS it's an EXTRA-ORDINARY one, them's make it happen alright. Too bad, thems are VERY rare; havn't seen one for months.

Ok here they are....

Hmmm.. WAY too may so/so L@@K?ERs. Race is definitely UNplayable. I'll turn degenerate for this race cause we're focusing on it and play no. 1 hoss W/Pl/Show ... heavier on the Show bet..

edit: adding 3,6,9 $2 win. only on ea.

you ain't gonna like this...

you ain't gonna like this...

Get this.. the list was too long and no.1 had best jockey/trainer (in my "book") and looked as good or better as any. Bet 2/2/10 on the entry.. SHEET!

Now get this .. here's the list of L@@KERS with no. 1 (not 1A) looking best on the list...

1,4,3,6,9

All ya had to do was add Carmouch's hoss which makes plenty of sense and -------> you gots yourself a ZUPPA as in 10 STINKIN cents gets ya $785.14

Check it out, Peepers.

Doesn't hoss wacin REEEELY SUCK sometimes?
