Philly - Monday

Not much going on in this forum, but I think there's one of my picks that may be worth while to go through the typing exercise for. This one might be of interestl for the few players/visitors that may stop in here on a Monday....

7th race:
No. 4 High on Candy (cool name) with a M.L. of 10-1 could produce a Philly style exacta.... or very nice ITM $$$$. EXCELLENT trainer and so/so jockey on this one.

Luv the fact that the other two early speedsters in this race are stink bombs while this gelding has very good early speed and, if ready, can outclose anything in this field. Candy has been competitve in much higher class races and finished up it's last race, in one of them higher class races (ALW. $47), to get 3rd after dueling with the leader most of the way. Pace scenario of this race fits this one quite well too. Good value at anything near it's M.L.

Dang, dang, dang.... forgot to write something about that 7th race -

One of the "stink bombs" I referred to, no. 7, Tree Heaven, was scratched yesterday out of an ALW $47 race
Coletti is a shrewd trainer too. Not planning on playing the no. 7 at all cause Heaven did not fare to well in my figures. Plus this one never impressed me when I saw him run in the past. But, I may have to change that IF he/it (hoss gots no balls - literally and figuratively) looks extra good in the paddock before the race.

Just got on and now I see Candy is scratched, SHEET! I was looking forward to that race, Now it looks like a 5 entree boat race. UGH!
Forget the 7th.

Maybe I'll SEE something for one of the later races. Looks like it may be just you and me today; I'll post something if I see that you're online AND if I find something.

Well, good hoss wacin fans shoulda noticed that the ONLY lone speed in that 7th was the no. 7 stink bomb. Put that with what I wrote about that one.. and there ya go

Yeah, I did get that one.. (small bet though w/pl . After all , he is a stinker.
Wentt from 6-1 down to 9-2 in the last few minutes till post. GREAT race to watch though, catch the replay if ya can. Sure looked like the anchor was getting launched when the fav. passed him in the stretch. Don't want to ruin the outcome.

It was close while it lasted. Looks like a dead heat with the 6 in it. AS THEY ENTERED THE LAST TURN THAT IS.

NO. 3 got second to complete a VERY nice zacta. Real close finish. No. 5 topped off the trifecta.

I guess the best news was that I DIDN'T get to post my picks in the 8th. .... LOSAHs

(Them Red Sox better get their act together. Still, Beckett was a welcomed surprise to Boston fans. I remember his performance for the Marllins very well. Good to see him coming back strong this year.. well, so far.
NO, I don't bet basebawl. Well, maybe a spot pick.. but that's very rare. Nobody can convince me that BB is a winning proposition if ya playem too often. CLEARLY, to me anyways, it's a sure losing prop.)
