TODAY IS MONDAY.. and for the first time in quite a while... except for one race, THERE AIN'T A DANG THANG WORTH PLAYING TODAY

Can't get out the ole lawn mower animated cartoon or the real thing for that matter - nothing to mow. Looks like it's gonna be a work day, Damn.

I don't look ahead, but if a DOer is online tomorrow.. got some good vibes for LUCKY Tue$. Maybe they saved the genuine dirt bombs for tomorrow and that usually means we just may be doing plenty of ....

If not, I'll try to post some results but can't promise that if the fields are full (too time consuming)

I should mention that I did put a play in today for the first race.. a quickie, Radars Fan across the board a little heavy on the show spot to ensure a small profit. I don't think I'll be around to see the race. Can't expect much of a payoff in a field like that though.

Just remember, HM.. I ain't infallable. Hell, how bout today's (Monday) pick? I lost $40 in that first race.

Also, the other day.. all Losah's then that Spieght horse came along in the 8th with that $46 payoff. Coulda easily been another one of them torn up ticket days. I lost the 9th race that day BTW.

BUT, IF it turns out to be anything close to that BONANZA day I wrote about here in my earlier post .... we're gonna need more pockets at the end of the day, good buddy.

We'll see.

edited - can you get a bet in if I post something with 2 to 3 mins to post time? I can do that AFTER I see them in the post parade and that worked BIG TIME on that Bonanza day and other days as well.

Footsball tonight.... A&M bailed me out so I won't be giving much back on the BIG game tonight. But I do have a (sucker?) prop. bet... Bama wins by 1-6 pts. It's +520 at Dimes place. To offset it, I also got ND M.L. at +285. Maybe not likely, but both bets could hit.

Welcome to Philadelphia Park - home of the dirt bombs of racing that produce plenty of dough.

It is the kind of card that I expect on a Tues.; full fields, horse I'm familiar with, and exciting racing. Unfortunately, also competitive fields that make it hard to git dat dough. I'm giving it a try...

2nd race
Over a half hours work on these and what a waste cause I'm coming up with the three favorites. 4,5,6. The no. 6 may be the best of these but not by much. There's much bigger fish ahead.

4th race
No. 2 top/bot with 4,5,6,8. Hope for the 5 or 6 to compliment the no. 2 cause thems the big odds. And, of course, the 2<->6 gets played for double the amount cause thems the magic exacta nos. I'll also be making a side bet, WIN, only. That'll be on no. 8 (9/2 M.L.).

5th race
Don't see anything beating no. 3, Istanbully, and that's no BULL. If this was N.Y. I'd hit this pne pretty hard cause, no question, this will be favored. Exacta mates may be the 4,5,10, 11. But we all know the poopoo can hit the fan at the track and should the "bull" fail.... no. 10 top/bot 4,5,11.

Hammy, give the no 9 and GOOD, LONG, LOOK in the paddock and PP, that one is gonna be a very nice price today. That's what I'll be doing. Don't need to put much down on this one as a side bet in order to pay for the zactas and also enough more to make this race really worthwhile - IF HE LOOKS GOOD that is.

6th race
This could be me if I don't hit this race --->:00x4

This race has BIG price potential. I feel very good about several of the longshots in this race and I'll be mixing up all kinds of exotics using them and others. WAY too may combos (tries and zacks) to write here and I don't wanna tempt anybody to follow. IF anybody is interested on how I do, reply otherwise I'll keep it to myeself. .. PROMISE this time.

I'll be using these with others and several on this list... 4,8,9,11,12. The longer shots among these IMO have the same chance of winning as any in here. Two that I'm esp. interested in seeing are that there no. 8 hoss, Bavaria and no. 9, Dodgy. The former impressed me big time mid last year; he (it?) went very sour since EXCEPT in it's last race where it showed some life. BOTH of these get Win bets from me today aside for exotic action.

If I don't make it back in time, don't let no. 2 in the the 9th win without ya.

One mo thing - the prop I played last night @+520 (Bama wins by 1-6 pts) woulda won, damnit. N.D. only had to hold done the Tide and score a measly 23 more pts. Dang it. Expect to have better luck with these hosses.

i HAD ALL MY PLAYS IN THE GOOD OLE, TRUSTY NOTEBOOK EARLY THIS MORNING AND THERE WERE PLENTY OF THEM TOO.

On the 5th race, i had "no. 9 win/place" written in pencil on the bottom of the page.. and I DIDN'T SEE IT WHEN i PUT THE BETS IN . :banghead:

I had picks for the 3rd, and Never saw them when I posted. (you may be right, HM.. I AM GETTING OLD and sleepy too after spending hours of capping). the picks were 2 top/bot with 4,5,6,8 and no. 8 on the side.
$112 zacta and I DID see that one when I put the bets in. :00hour

I couldn't keep my eyes open to cap the 8th and 9th and the 8th looks like a very playable wace too... I'm writing this as it's running and didn't play a thing.

DEFINITELY "leaving Philly" a WIENER today though after nailing that zackta twice. OH, I lost the 6th.

If eithher of you are still around I'll post LOOKERS for the 9th. THAT NO. 2 IS DEFINITELY A PLAY unless it's a real deadbeat on the track in the prerace.

Just do something with the no. 2, Peepers. Good news is that they ALL look like "sleepers" in this last race and the favorite is definitely in that category. I'l be doing something with that one.

I typed 4th race here.. it shoulda been 3rd race. I was still half asleep, VERY SORRY BOUT THAT.... that NEVER happened before. Now I am bummed out. Like I just wrote, I couldn't keep my eyes opened to properly handicap the 8th and 9th.

NOW, I gotta check to see if I didn't do that when I put them in.. pretty sure I didn't cause I put the bets in AFTER I posted and right from my notebook which does have the 3rd race written down.

Funny thing, we both got a little burnt today.. I DID post that no. 9 super placer and didn't see it when I put the real $ in.. and I didn't post that 3rd correctly and did put that one in THANK GAWD.

I'll be extra careful and I am very sorry for the fluck up.

Keep yer chin up.. we're due for a zacta bonanZA soon. Haven't seen one of them $300 - $500 jobbies in quite some time. Should be one coming down the Jersey Turnpike soon.

Feeling a little better about the fluck up. TODAY, I checked to see what DID come in for the 4th race. Great, it was 4-2.... lucked out a LITTLE. At least those who may have played that typo race hit the exacta anyways. BUT, $21.80 ain't $112.

My normal exacta is for $2 . SOMETIMES, not often, for wheels... I'll even lower it to ONE stinkin dollar :s2:

Standard bets for tries is $1, but something like 1/23/23 may be for $2 stinkin dollars.

After I put those THIRD wace exactas in for $2, I got to liking the no. 2 hoss more and thought about putting some moola on that one, straight bets, in case I didn't nail the exacta. It's odds were surprisingly high. Last minute, I decided to "go for it" and just double up on the zactas. That woulda insured that my "lucky" 2<->6 woulda had extra on it as well. And what happens? The money wheel lands on 2 <-> 5 Ha, hah... . . made the right move for a change.

Hmmm... maybe this game is really all about LUCK??

It's really silly to think that we can pick the right DAYS to play along with the picks; but, my records clearly indicate that Mondays and TUE$DAYS are my kinda days at good ole Philly Park. For whatever the reason - I rock on them days alright :0064
