Don't know what I was thinking yesterday when I wrote that Sunday may be my next Philly "visit". Thems DO race on Weds. now.

Got the time to play something today, went over the first 5 races and I'm not liking what I'm seeing. Strong favorites and/or UNplayable races. Might as well share what I think so far even though I may not really play these (?)...or anything today for that matter.

Race 1: No Play

Race 2:
Very stong favorite, no. 4 (Big City Momma) who may even get bet down from her 9-5 M.L. Only way to play this race IMO is to take a stab at zactas.. no. 4 top/bot with each -> 1,2,5.

Race 3:
Better LOOKING play, but not too confident with this one. There's a couple of ways to play this race methinks...

(1) Exacta box the figure horses. Thems are the 2,3,6 AND take a side play, W/Pl @ 2x on one of the longshots I got marked...

no. 6, 15-1 M.L. or no. 4, 10-1 (I think she'll go off higher). See below about them.

OR

You/me can forget the exactas and play BOTH of the longshots, W/Pl @2x and keep ya fingers crossed. No. 6, Imageofstars, is one that I'm familiar with and she is lone speed on a sloppy (maybe) track. Yum Yum. Been freshened up, two nice works and has connections that win infrequently but like to pull off nice surprises from time to time. She does have plenty of early speed to lead these.

No. 4, 10-1 M.L. (think she'll go off higher),Miss Reaper, looks to be placed in a nice spot here for her first race. Like the breeding ESP. for an off track and her connections are good "surprise, surprise" candidates. Got good vibes for this one. At the nice odds on both - if one wins the play is surely worthwhile and even if only one of them gets the Place spot - the shot was worthwhile or maybe even produce a small profit.

Of course, you/me can do what has worked for me a lot of times when I come up with only two horses in a race (actually not applicable for this race) and that would be to wheel one top/bot in zactas and play the other W/Pl @2x. For me - I ain't confident enough to take that route for this race though.

4th race: No Play

5th race:
Favorite (no. 2, Fly Straight) looks like a weiner and even if this one doesn't win the other chalk (no. 6) will prob. win this race. Forget that.

That's it for now. G.L.

Sum it all up for Weds

Sum it all up for Weds

Think I had the best advice for today written down in the thread someplace... went something like,"don't play a thing today".

Hope the few viewers followed it. I did make one real play.. that "Imageofstars" hoss in the 3rd. W/Pl/Sh @ 3x. Best move I made too cause the bastage scratched.

Oh, almost forgot about the ABD (Ass Burner of the Day)? Last race is almost always playable at Philly and it sure was today - big field, non maidens, horses I'm very familiar with.
Had the 3 horses for the last race marked as 2-4-6 zacta box. NO, didn't play it like almost all the others and yes OF COURSE it came in to the tune of $97+. Didn't have the time to post or even watch the race. For sho.. I AIN'T gonna watch the agonizing replay, but chart shows Troubador came home like the Payday hoss in the last race the other day. :banghead:

Seeyas on Sunday, well maybe.

G.L.
