You know, I don't ever remember, over the years, hoss wacin being cancelled cause "It's too hot". I DO remember sweating my ass off at the track many times and thems ran just fine. Maybe there were too many casualties due to the heat and the reasoning was to play it safe?
Could be a co-incidence, but, I do notice that Philly has a tendency to "play it safe" on the WEEKENDS though. Hmmm... maybe the reasoning is "Let the bastages play the bigger races in N.Y. and we'll just pack their asses into the casino.". Ya think?
I'm a little leery about today's card and I didn't put as much time into handicapping. Believe it or not, that means I only put about twice as much time into studying them as the average player for today. Played way more races than usual today; tickets are small.
Briefly here's what I came up with:
Race 2: giving no. 2 a chance to do something..
Race 3: no. 6 top/bot w. 1,2 and no. 6 Win/place.
Race 4: no. 3 top/bot w. 5,6, more with the no. 3 on top. No. 3 win/place also.
Race 6: 2,3 top/bot w. 5,7 and sides on 2 and 7 to WIN.
Race 8: Now, for me, when ya like the nos. 6 AND 7 -> the thing to do is PUTEM BOTH in trifectas (yeah, another "marriage" with two nos. that luv to go together). Problem is that there are too many hosses to fill the third hoss for the tri in this race. SOMB! Sooo... I got the no. 7 wheeled in zactas top/bot and played no. 6 with 3 other horses, top/bot in zacks also. Side bet on no. 6 across as well. That no. 6 should get very good position in this race and has a shot to lead all the way. Worth a shot at the nice odds.
Race 9: Poker at Night (great name) is a good one, MJ Hossplayers. Nos. I like in this race are 5-8-10. No. 8 will be getting some side action from me as well.
