Normally, I wouldn't post anything for today cause I'm not coming up with anything solid. But it was nice to see some interest during the WEEKDAYS :0023 so I guess there will be interest today (Sat).

Don't get me wrong though.. these AIN'T stabs/ plenty of time went into coming up with these as usual:

Race 2: small exacta tickets , 5,6 top/bot with 2,3,4. Looks dumb in only a 7 horse field but if these horses go off a something close to their morning line - any winning ticket could produce a profit for the race. Alternative play could be to just pick between the 5 or the 6 and play it across. I haven't decided which way I'll be going yet cause I think at least one of them will get bet down somewhat.

Tried really hard but couldn't find a dang thang until the .....

6th race: It's the ole " take a shot with two longshots that have a much better chance than their M.L. odds to hit the board WITH two semi- short ( no big favorite in this race and thats the way I like it) priced horses that figure to be winnah's. That means -> 1,6 top/bot w. 5,8.

Still have to go through races 7-9, didn't have the time yet. Bah, bah, BUT the 10th race got plenty of interest from me. It has the potential to produce another Jimboski Super Bomber and we haven't seen one in some time. Well, not posted here anyways.

10th race: Two horses with nice odds are the one's I'll be focusing on. One of them (no. 6) has the potential to be the MEGA-Bomb for the day with it's 15-1 M.L. (MEGA cause I think this one may go off higher). The other one, no. 8 ("only" 6-1) is rated just as good though.

BIG problem is sorting out the other contenders cause they are either coming off HUGE layoffs, claimed in their last race, off form, .. stuff like that which makes them unpredictable. I'm only gonna post the three horses that could make the whole day worthwhile and leave the rest up to the viewers:
6,8, and maybe 10.

edited - FORGOT to add a side play in the 2nd race. It's horse that I had posted as "One to Watch". That one started a long chain of horses that I posted that way.. and most led to WATCHING your moola (and mine) go down the drain :(
Well, this one did absolutely TERRIBLE every time we "watched", I gave up on it quite a while ago. Looks it took some time off and it does show signs of living up to the potential I saw a long time ago? No. 3 in the 2nd race, Mercurio (30-1 M.L.). I'll be playing it straight (small) and also with the 5 and 6 in top/bot zactas.

G.L.

So far

So far

To sum it up --> :mj02:

BTW, that there Mercurio hoss did look much better than it's previous efforts despite finishing poorly. There's still room for that one to take a drop in class to $5k and it looks like nobody (cept me, maybe) will be willing to bet on him.

Manhattan Ridge scratched but that's ok cause the other part of the entree is OK, so the picks stayfor this upcoming 6th race.

just stuff

just stuff

Hmmm... wrong 35-1 shot completes zacta, Sheeet!

for race no. 6

Thought I knew every angle for this twack, but it looks like there's still another angle that needs to be added to the ole bag of tricks. Well, maybe?

Angle no. 999 (no I ain't Herman Cain in disguise) - It very rarely happens and I was gonna post this, but ran out of time -> "EVERY one of the horses for this race clearly looked UNinterested in the prerace". Every one of them. In cases like this, just maybe it's worthwhile to give the "bombers" (BIG odds) a shot to be a part of an exotic payoff like that no. 4 did?

Might have to find a class in Horse Psychology 101 to fully understand. Maybe Mecurio will have that matter-of-fact look.

Notes n Plans

Notes n Plans

There's a smell of WATS coming outa Philly today :rant2:

That there no. 4 hoss (2nd at 35-1) in the 6th had no business outrunning ALL the others (not the winner though) ALL the way around the track in that race.

That there winnah of the last race run (no. 7 in the 7th) couldn't beat $5K claimers multiple times in the past??? Yeah, that one was bred for turf and has a decent turf record but still lost bottom level races on the turf as well. WTF? And how bout the horse that finished 2nd to him today? Ugh!

I prob. would have posted something if I bet that 7th race and won, so I'll post now that I bet something (exactas) in that race and got poopies back :(

And NOW my savers in the last race both got scwatched... Dang!

OK, plays for the "savior" in the last race now become the nos. 1 and 10. One gets wheeled and the other across the board (extra on the show).

Can't wait for Tue$ ;)

Hammy, see you're still hanging tough, as expected. HOPE, you found something better today than I did so far.

Game plan is to wait for the 10th, but I should add that I am interested in taking a look at the no. 2 in this 9th race. Got him rated as a top contender and you know whose on his back.

He's gotta look GOOD in the prerace though for me to do somethng with him.

2,4,and 10 look a bit better than the others.

That pre-race observation is invaluable. Hoped the 4 brought you some :0071

Gotta do some honey-do's and tryin' to stay out of the 103 degree heat. Speaking of Heat, think I may lay some coin on them tonight.

The savior in no 1! (wheeled on top):00hour

Now I can eat a steak instead of out of a can of sardines.

Wrap up

Wrap up

Sorry I couldn't post those last two races better... had to rush.

For me, 9th was a mixed bag result. More pissed than anything else cause that freakin no. 11 was my SECOND handicapped choice and what do I do? (rushing) use the no. 4 looker with 3 longshots top/bot and NOT THE FREAKIN no. 11. Bonus Philly style exacta too. SON AH MAH BEECH

Calmed down when I saw the Show payoff on the no. 2 cause I had that one W/Pl/Show@3x. Came out a little ahead thanks to the show payoff. but missing that exacta still sucked.

Savior finale for today
Yes, I did some combo-supremes (no wheelies though) but I liked the no. 1 best of the field after the scratches so played it w/pl/sh@2x AND added a few extras with him in the zactas. Still can not believe that zacta payoff HUH? :0034 Think they went a little overboard when they added the icing on that cake. WOW!

Philly bonus payoff on the 10th zacta, got me happy again and I'll sleep good tonight after all. :bed:

You're a bigger bettor than me, Hammy so think about adding a few small zactas with the bombers on the side in addition with the horse you really like in whatever race you play at this track. Wouldn't have worked in this race cause the no. 3 was no bomber, but still it's a good idea for the future. I usually do that and it has paid off handsomely overall in the past. Don't do it in EVERY race ya play though. Neva do something EVERY time when playing the ponies.

Just my thoughts.

G.L. with the ballers, y'awl.

I didn't notice your post about nailing the 10th zacta.

And it came with the special Philly "bonus payout" too. GREAT, great, great news. :0058

Whether it helped ya or not - glad I posted today so I could know about your good fortune. Throw them dang sardines out, Hammy.. more steaks are coming our way. :).
