Even though we may have a hoss player shortage these days and I am disappointed at today's card - I just gotta post one.

Anybody remember this? ....

no. 9, Raycn with Gracyn [/b], 20-1 M.L. Despite the odds and pps, you just don't let a horse that sez (between the lines) "I'm gonna win today". Of course, just cause she sez it doesn't mean she can do it. Yet, I'm gonna take her word for it. Across the board play for me.

Just in case some Peeper decides to go along with this one today, I gotta give yas the Pros and Cons before you do so -

Cons
Winless trainer, TERRIBLE jockey (3 for 71, UGH) and also terrible past performance line for her last race that I wrote about above. Her daddy would beat these by the length of the stretch, but that means nuthin cause she she sure won't (she 2 for 8 LIFETIME and winless on the turf) :mj02:
There's more, but that's enough for now.

OH,wait... one mo - WHY are they putting her in a longer route race? While I watched her online video in her last race and thought she got 4th cause she looked real good till the camera left her in mid stretch... I checked the chart for that race and see that she was 2ND FROM LAST :0
She musta been tired alright and they stretch her out today???

Pros
- Despite the above, I liked what I saw in her last race and that's the biggest "Pro" for me, that is.

- She ran in a field of 9 in that last race and just about every one of the entrees in that race is much tougher than the field she's facing today.

- The 4 horses inside of her are pretty much void of early speed so she should get excellent position today. Sure wish she had a better jockey to make sure of that though.

- You can't erase the "reading between the lines" thingy I referenced above in the quote.

The distance is bothersome. There's a few very good closers that I fear may run by her late, but aside from that I like her exotic and maybe even her Win chances today. Her M.L. of 10-1 makes me like them even more.

The others in this race are the 3,4,6,8,10,12. Yeah, that's a bunch in this field of 12. But that means that a Graycyn exacta (top or bottom) should result in a Philly zuppa payoff.

Think that's the only one I'll post for today but I'll try to get back to post a wrap up I HOPE.

Now, after writing all this - watch them scratch her or take the race off the turf. There is thunder showers in the forecast for Philly today. :mj04:

Adding a play.

Get this - NEVER happened before. in yesterday's "junk" snail mail there was one of them "Resident" addresses on the front. You know, not even my name. Usually, thousands (tens of thousands?) of those things get mailed out from solicitors. Thems inviting peoples to participate in surveys, that's all. They weren't selling a thing and there's no fees for participating in the surveys, In fact, it said that they offer cash prizes to participators via random drawings.

I couldn't believe what was attached to the letter/brochure in the envelope. They don't know me from Adam, yet there were two brand new one dollar bills attached. I even checked the backs... they were real!

Well, guess where them two dollars are going? LOL

On a 30-1 shot the last wace today, Compelling Star. Just an FYI.

Thanks for not following me down the path to ..

That's only the second time I went overboard "at the windows" this year. BOTH times - the bastage ran OUT of the moola. Thought I stopped doing that, but it's hard to resist when you're on a hot streak. Horse didn't look anywhere near how she looked last time she ran.

How bout that last race? That 21-1 led all the way through the homestretch turn. In it's only other start - Star ran dead last all the way around the twack. Think it (not a HE anymore, po thang) finished 4th today. I'll follow up on this one, NOT the same way I did with "Greysyn" though that's fosho.

Steady she goes is the way to build them bankaroos.
