Plenty of hits yesterday esp. considering only one race worth of pick(s) ... AND a couple of new faces too. Do reply to this thread if ya got any comments though. Gonna give posting a go today even if it's a slow Tuesday....
2nd Race
Maybe I'm pressing my luck, but I'd LUV to start off today with a nice, big, fat Philly steak sub .. Mmmmm.. made with filet mignon instead of Steakems. This one is a stretch but no. 2, Memo Me. is the pick for "my opener" today. Even though the trainer is ice cold so far (only 7 starts at Philly though), he is quite capable. Jockey is the PITS and this horse hates to win too. But Memo is coming around in a way that not many players may notice (that's a GOOD thing) and shows enough to maybe pull this race out with a little luck. Outside posts in his last two with too much speed inside of him, but today he just might get a perfect trip behind the no. 1 and pull off the surprise. Besides, this one may be the only play anybody may want to take a shot with cause my other plays are cwazy looking zotics.
3rd Race
Yesterday, I wrote about my ass burner for the day -> NOT playing a NEW "Magic nos. (1-6-7 tri. box) combo". I DON'T play the numbers game, but it just turns out that the ones I come up for this race fit two of the magic nos. combos.
The cwazy plays that I rarely make are trifectas 1/2,4/2,4... 4/1,2/1,2.. 1/6,7/6,7.. 6/1,7/1,7. Each one is only 2 stinkin bucks for a $1 ticket or better yet - 4 stinkin bucks for a regular $2 ticket. Unfortunately, ya gotta cover that no. 2 hoss a little though... exactas, no. 2 top/bot with (each one) 1,6,7. Some of those tries could payoff close to a C note. Letem run and let's see how this "mess" turns out.
If anybody's looking for just straight longshots for this race, I think the no. 6 and/OR 7 may be the way to go. I liked and cashed on the no. 7 last time she ran and she ran great, getting off slow and closing very nice to get the place spot at 10-1. I am gonna single her, Miss Tallahassee (6-1) on the side today. STILL, the nos. 1 and 2 have a beter chance to win this race, but when you consider her odds.... ya gotta get a piece of that no. 7 (or 6)
7th Race
Actually a tough one to figure. Not gonna let a 1-3-6 tri box get away. Also, exacta plays... 1,3 top/bot with 6,7.
Maybe they'll be some rational plays .. you know, plain ole W/Pl/Show dull stuff on the later races.
