i moved here in MARCH! i cancelled in February, before I moved. That is documented in their system! HOWEVER, they say the account was voluntarily 'suspended' by me in case I decided that I would want DirecTV at my new location. BULLSHIT!!!

I ALREADY HAD CABLE SET UP FOR HERE BEFORE I MOVED!!!!!

but....they said I should have called to cancel so now I owe them $202.50. I DID CANCEL YOU MORON!! IN FEBRUARY. I have to call TWICE to cancel a service?????

FOR WHAT!!! YOU FUKING IDIOT??!! I NEVER HAD SERVICE SINCE I LEFT, DON'T NEED IT, DON'T WANT IT, AND WILL NEVER HAVE IT AGAIN, PERIOD!!!

Make a long story short I had to mail a letter to their CA office "billing dispute". I get a new bill TODAY SAYING I OWE THE MONEY!!!

WTF!!!

so, I sent another letter. jesus! GIMME A FUKING BREAK!!!!

While I'm ranting >>>>>>>>>>

WTF is it with doctors and hospitals???

I have Blue Cross/ Blus Shield. My insurance covers only so much but the PROVIDERS AGREE TO THE TERMS OF BC/BS and that's SUPPOSED to cover the charges yet those bastids keep sending bills to cover the difference. WTF IS THAT???

I paid my deductable, I paid my co-pay, AND I PAID MY $870 A MONTH but they want MORE!!???

CHRIST!!!!!!

Almost happened to me. Canceled last April thinking I'd be moving in July. My account was suspended (6 months) so I could re-subscribe with no hassels. I thought it would just go away. Move was delayed to the end of Sept. Received a 'bill' for service :mj03: just before I moved, nipped it in the bud real quick. Still haven't received the $1.32 credit they said would take 6 to 8 weeks to process, last Sept. :wtf:

Turned the receiver in here to a cable company running a special for dish customers.

after i moved i received 2 or 3 statements from them that was offering me a "deal" to sign back up. after those 2 or 3 i started throwing them away. THEN i get some official looking letter from them and discovered they were charging me the 200 bucks and canceling my service. I ALREADY CANCELLED THE DAMN THING.......IN FEBRUARY!

apparently, since they didn't hear from me, they automatically started me back up. WTF is THAT???

I'M 500 MILES AWAY FROM THAT LOCATION YOU IDIOT!

man, i'm getting the blood pressure rising again :)

if it wasnt for nfl i would have dumped direct a long time ago. when i started having a cash flow problem every utility co worked with me. they didnt shut stuff off as long as i kept my promise to pay minimums. when i asked direct for leniancy they threatened to send me to collection. for a $200. dollar bill. i freakin hate them, but nfl keeps me there.

while we're on the subject of medical insurance, everyone stay away from NASE (national ass of self employed). there slick ass sales scum promise that you can go to any doctor any where at any time. complete bullchit. i went to doctor for a messed up wrist and the doc said i wasnt covered by my ins. so i got a doc that was on approved list. there wasnt supposed to be a list. i was supposed to be able to go to any doc. when i made appt with doc on list they denied me because i had tried to go to another doc saying it was a preexisting condition. needless to say i quit the suckass company, but the problem didnt end there. since i was stupid enough to agree to automatic withdrawel, they continued to take my money. i called bank to stop the madness and the bank (wells fargo) said that if nase just changed the amount by one penny they could with draw the money.
NASE are a bunch of freakin criminals.

speaking of NASE. i used them about 17 years ago for about 2 years. i never really had any problems but i did have a very good thing happen.

my wife had a surgery that cost $5000+ and about 2 months after the surgery i got a check from NASE for the billed charges. i automatically called the hospital thinking that NASE sent me the check to send to them. The hospital informed me that NASE had already paid for the charges. I insisted that they re-check their records because NASE sent me a check for the amount billed. Hospital said, "nope", bill was paid.

sooooo, i called NASE and explained to the gal that answered what happened. she told me not to worry about it, the case was closed and there was nothing she could do about it. i depsoited the check and never heard another word about it from the hospital OR NASE :D

Well what are you bitching about? You should send Direct TV what you OWE them for not following through, and you will still be 4800 ahead from the NASE deal unless you decide to go ahead and pay the extra medical bills you are incurring. Why should the doctors have to get fukced because you dont want to pay what you owe? But no, you will keep on smoking Marlboros and drinking Crown like its your job and taking money that aint owed to you. Sounds like you're the one fukcing people!!

Pissed yet :mj07: :mj07: :mj07:

Hell that ain't nothing

I cancelled my account w/AOL about 9 months ago and about 2 months later I cancelled the credit card it was linked to.

Guess what know I get a letter about every 2 weeks turning me over to a collection agency for delinquent payment for every month since I cancelled the service. They are fukking crazy for one thing I never even could of log on to aol once I cancelled. But they still think I am a subscriber, I just throw the shit in the trash now when I see it!!:)

Just a warning to u aol people out there, they will screw u in a heartbeat.

Sorry to hear about your problems w/Direct TV. Have had them for 13 years or so & have never had a problem, I guess luckily so.
However, they showed their true colors to me after the hurricane(s) hit here. Many services were knocked out, including my business partner's. I was helping him out one day about a week after the big hit...........we saw a Direct TV repair truck on the block & thought "Great". Not so, because as he was about to drive away, we asked him when he was gonna fix our problem. He said Direct TV isn't working on existing problems, they are just installing new systems now !! (without power, many many cable systems were unoperable, so a quick fix for that was to have a dish). Filthy. Giving new accounts and new incoming cash the service but neglecting their present & long standing accounts.

**But thanks for the post...........for alerting us all what to possibly expect in the future when moving.

Hospitals bill an amount.

Insurers low ball them and pay only a certain amount.

Then they claim that you, the patient, have to pay on the "billed" amount.

Its BS and a scam set up by the hospitals and insurers.

Only pay your percentage off "the settled amount". The "billed amount" is irrelevant.

Ask them if you should pay taxes on a 50,000 car that you get for 44,000. Obviously you pay on the 44,000. You can fight it and I myself do and win everytime.
