I listened twice. He never said anything about abortion - only absitance and contraception. You jumped to a conclusion. Basically he was saying that education about these things can prevent a mistake of being pregnant too soon or contracting an STD. He never says anything about abortion.

And why did you lump Obama's speech with that odd expose on a few idiots at Planned Parenthood? What is the connection?

i hear what you are saying smurph... agree... education can prevent the mistake... BUT if they MAKE a mistake.. (which means they got a bun in the oven then right?) he says he doesn't want them punished with a baby.

so unless he is going to have them birth the kid and drop it off in the orphanage... it can't be construed as anything but... get out the rusty coat hanger.

I'm not hearing it that way. If I knew he was talking about abortion, then yes - but it doesn't sound he is. He never says anything about abortion anyway. Sounds like he's saying he wants to teach his childrean morals and values, but if they screw up then he wants them to know about contraception so that they are not punished with pregnancy for making a moral mistake.

I didn't say anything about abortion either in my post. "punished" with a baby. :nono: That's pathetic.

The connection is he supports planned parenthood (as does Hillary), and in the first part of the video, he actually has that banner plastered all behind him. I know most people here are pro abortion, so they probably won't care.

agree with your views on this... but the "screw up" is the having sex without contraception - not just having sex.

step by step process:

1. teach kids morals and values
2. teach kids about contraception
3. kid screws up and has sex without contraception.
4. kid punished with baby at young age.

or

1. teach kids about morals and values
2. kids screw up and have sex
3. teach kids about contraception
4. hope kid didn't get pregnant the first time, because now they know about rubbers and jimmy hats. :)

who says having sex is morally and/or ethically wrong? even out of wedlock.

People have sex because it feels good. Not because they are 'bad' people.
Man, it's like eating a cheeseburger.. they taste great.. make a mistake and eat too many without exercising and you get fat... have sex too much with prevention and you get pregnant.

why don't we hear Obama talking about not eating cheeseburgers or something? :D
