Hofstra +10
Hofstra plays at Manhattan tonight and a good Jasper team will try to avenge last year's 57-43 loss to the Hofstra Pride.
IMO, this should be a close game and the linesmakers are basing their line of ten points on the results of games vs a common opponent -- St. Johns.
Manhattan beat St. Johns on 12/8 by the score of 85-68. This outcome is a little deceiving as St. Johns only shot 33% from the field and they probably took this local opponent a little too lightly and got ambushed on the road.
Hofstra lost to St. Johns 89-75 last Sunday in a game which the Red Storm was looking for revenge and the Pride did not play up to their potential. Hofstra star freshman Kenny Adeleke who is averaging 15 ppg (shooting 65% from the field) and 7.5 rpg was held to just one point and one board.
Manhattan hasn't played in two weeks, due to final exams their last game was the game vs St Johns. Hofstra has played six of their eight games on the road so far this season so playing away from home shouldn't be a factor for them.
I think Manhattan will come out slow due to their two week layoff and Hofstra will keep this one close. Adeleke should have a big game tonight after being benched in last Sunday's game vs St Johns.
Manhattan will win on a shot in the final seconds, take the ten points.
